The Ideal Candidate

You are a Senior Solution Architect with experience in the successful design and implementation of both internal solutions and customer-facing products. We are looking for someone who has a deep technical understanding of our product suite, and the ability to quickly asses a customer’s technical landscape, to subsequently determine the most appropriate end-solution path. 

The Senior Solution Architect continuously engages with multiple customer stakeholders on a technical level as they lead the charge to onboard the customer onto newly designed solutions. The Senior Solution Architect forms part of the Delivery team and will also work closely with commercial solution consultants to provide a deeper understanding of our technology to new and existing clients. 

The Senior Solution Architect will also work closely with the Project Management team to actively manage the technical delivery, articulate progress, and highlight any risks in the delivery phase. Since Entersekt’s products focus on protecting the payment industry through authentication, security, and risk-based services, the ideal candidate will need to have experience working within banking, payments, or digital security and fraud, and have an understanding of the sector’s regulatory requirements, such as PSD2, GDPR, and MiFID II.

The Role

The Senior Solution Architect will ensure that Entersekt’s customers get the most from our products by designing and owning the technical relationship with the customer throughout the implementation journey. The Senior Solution Architect is firstly responsible to determine the appropriate technical implementation and design pattern and subsequently ensure that our customers are aligned to our product offering seamlessly. 

The Senior Solution Architect plays an active role in supporting the solution consultants during pre-sales by steering the technical solution. The Senior Solution Architect must serve as a trusted technical advisor to help the customer make key technical decisions during the end-solution design phase, and ensure optimal operation of the solution using Entersekt products. 

The Senior Solution Architect also ensures that our customers are well equipped to manage and run our products after the solution’s implementation.

The role will require visiting customers, so periodic travel within the USA and abroad might be required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess the customer’s business and technical requirements to determine actions required by both Entersekt and the customer’s technical team to deploy Entersekts products with the customer into a end-to-end solution.
  • Make a significant contribution to the customer’s overall solution design through review and consultation (network design, enterprise service design, mobile application design, and business process design).
  • Produce solution artifacts such as designs, specifications, diagrams, and data flows detailing product configuration, integration points, custom interfaces, and technical risks and complexities.
  • Troubleshooting during project implementations to determine the required path to resolution.
  • Host workshops and training sessions with a customer’s technical team, providing them with an in-depth understanding of how the product and solutions will feature, and how best they can be utilized within their organization.
  • Join the Project Manager in customer project progress meetings to troubleshoot and provide risk-mitigation support and best practice guidance.
  • Own the development of user-assistance material to accelerate the adoption of new features.

Skills and Experience

Successful candidates for this role will generally possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A degree in engineering, computer science, or IT. 
  • 5-7 years of experience in a software development environment, preferably in a customer-facing role and solution architecture.
  • Hands-on technical expertise: The ability to engage at a technical level with developers and system analysts on subjects such as networking, system-to-system API, mobile application development, and business process design.
  • Good fault-finding skills: The ability to debug both pre-production and post-production issues with customers. 
  • AWS solution architecure experience and working exposure with certification would be a advantage.
  • Experience in a financial services, telecommunications, or the mobile industry will be beneficial. 
  • Systems engineering and/or requirements management exposure will be an advantage.
