The Enterprise SAP COE Senior Solution Architect- OTC will report to OTC-Product Manager. The successful candidate will be part of Solution Design, Implementation and Governance of Enterprise SAP template for the Order to Cash process area. The Enterprise SAP COE Senior Solution Architect- OTC will work with business counterparts in delivering solutions based on best practices, business processes & SAP expertise.

The SAP landscape under the scope of this position would include multiple, global SAP instances (S/4 HANA and ECC) in JCI integrated with strategic edge/business applications.

With Solution Delivery responsibility, the Enterprise SAP COE Senior Solution Architect- OTC will play a role of SAP Expert and be responsible for the design, implementation and governance of the SAP landscape and strategic initiatives in OTC areas.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Design, implementation, and maintenance of JCI Enterprise SAP Order to Cash template in SAP S/4HANA & ECC for deployments across the globe, according to business requirements and best practices.
  • Provides consultation to application owners, business partners and peer groups regarding long and short-range architecture solutions to address business requirements and objectives.
  • Develop solutions and business case alternatives. Actively participate in complex design and technical discussions, and decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate and engage with counterparts across SAP and non-SAP teams to architect, design and consistently deliver end to end projects with a high level of quality and functionality that meets the business requirements.
  • Provide End to End Solution expertise in SAP areas of Sales Distribution, Logistics Execution, Customer Service, Warranty Management and integration with other strategic edge applications and third-party tools deployed in Johnson Controls to support the OTC business processes.
  • Work with the Enterprise ERP Application Architect team & support functionality assessments for solutions in scope of the overall SAP ERP platform.
  • Provide SME, Solution, and delivery leadership, template and process governance to the DevOps team, to enable business with Continuous improvements, through Sprint planning, Issue prioritization, ticket resolution.

Skills & Qualifications

A successful candidate must have the following skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, Business or related discipline. Master's degree in related discipline preferred.
  • 10+ years of SAP implementation experience, including 2+years in S/4HANA environment, across multiple lifecycles of SAP implementation, support for core OTC process and SAP Customer Service processes such as

    • SAP S/4HANA Best Practices- Sales/ Services
    • Customer master and BP/Customer Hierarchies, Material master, Customer material Info records, Inclusions and Exclusions, Equipment master
    • Pre Sales process(Inquiry, Quotation)
    • Sales processes (Sale from stock, Make to Order and Engineer to Order, Purchase to order etc).
    • Contracts and Service orders
    • Pricing
    • Available to Promise (AATP experience is preferred)
    • Logistics Execution
    • Goods Movements, Inbound Processes, Outbound Processes, Transfers
    • Picking, Packing, Shipping, Transportation
    • Billing and Customer payments
    • Warranty Management
    • Credit Management
    • SAP Service functionality
    • EDI Integrations
    • Integration with Salesforce and other Ordering platforms
    • Handling Customer Disputes (Returns, Credits and debits)
    • Integration with PP, PM, QM, MM, WM, FI, VC, PS and other SAP/Non-SAP technologies in this space.
    • Reporting/Analytics
    • ABAP technical analysis and debugging is preferred.
  • 2+ years of in SAP MDG processes is preferred.
  • 2+ years of S/4HANA EWM experience/ knowledge related to Outbound Shipments is preferred.
  • Experience with SAFe Agile DevOps delivery framework will be preferred.
  • Experience in strategic business initiatives in the SAP domain in

    • Engaging business customers
    • Managing customer expectations
    • Driving Cost benefit analysis based on estimation models
    • Developing Solution Deployment Roadmap
  • Experience in business process re-engineering or process improvement, involving broad-based information systems, utilizing tools and techniques to effect business change.
  • Ability to develop clear and detailed business requirements and design specifications that can be understood by other delivery team & business partners.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into design options that are cost effective, efficient, re-usable that comply with defined architectural principles and standards and that enhance the business process.
  • Must possess a high degree of professional confidence and credibility, with the presence and communication skills to represent IT related concepts effectively with all levels of the business.
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving, communication and presentation skills.
