Senior Solution Definition Analyst

Summary of the role:

Be a functional expertise entry point in all solutions handled within the division for complex and cross functional solutions analysis/recommendation

In this role you'll:

  • Has working experience and advanced and specialized functional knowledge in travel agency business procedures and how the Amadeus Sell Connect point of sale contributes to the business.
  • Acts as a reference for colleagues with less experience and supports junior team members.
  • Influences decisions related to own activity, anticipating dependencies and consequences in complex scenarios, contributes to transversal projects, proposes improvements to processes and is accountable for own and team commitments.
  • Works independently within plan dictated by manager, with some guidance on most complex situations.
  • Possess and maintain agile Product Owner Certification
  • Analyze and capture solution elements for large cross functional CPs, and other complex cross-organization, cross-functional solutions
  • Respond to the needs of the Central and/or Regional commercial organization in close collaboration with all Product Definition and Development teams of the division
  • Identify areas of repeat/common use and optimize the work of the department by documenting coherent, re-usable solution responses
  • Be accountable for providing information status to stakeholders on a regular and relevant basis at any stage of the engagement
  • Register and spot all the impacts on Amadeus Solutions and Products that are provided to clients and ensure that they are properly handled and solved by the accurate teams
  • Provide support and expertise to Product, Sales and Account teams in functional, technical recommendation for new solution including
  • Contribute and support in the preparation of proposal responses and other ad hoc customer requests. Support to sales / pre-sales efforts via customers' needs understanding, gaps identification and product design proposition.
  • Provide recommendation for new solution in collaboration with Customer Bespoke Services teams and coordinate input
  • Analyze needs and requirements, from customer and internal sources, and propose functional solution recommendations with supporting rationale
  • Document and present solution recommendations
  • Support new business opportunity study when it comes to complex solution
  • Suggest/propose ways to improve customer satisfaction
  • Develop, Maintain and share solution analysis and expertise with the wider divisions
  • Define and execute the communication/training strategy within the team
  • Build and deliver Training material: tutorials, user guide, videos for internal and external team training
  • Define, develop and implement communication between commercial organization and Customer Bespoke Solutions organization on complex solution or escalation.
  • Track and Measure the performance of the overall functional solution determination processes and propose and implement improvements.
  • Advanced knowledge of handling ticket exchanges, refunds, and fare rules is desired.

About the Ideal Candidate:

  • Bachelor level or higher degree in Technology or Business Management (Equivalent experience considered).
  • 5+ Years working as a business analyst, solution designer, and/or product definition specialist.
  • 5+ Years working in the travel or technology industry (Amadeus functionality experience preferred).
  • Must have demonstrated competency in communication skills (written and spoken).
  • Agile Product Owner or SCRUM Master certification desired.
  • U/X Design experience a plus.
  • Project Management certification a plus.
