Senior Solutions Architect 

We are actively recruiting for a Senior Solutions Architect to assist and work closely with the government in the proper design, development, and deployment of all program software related components. This position works within our Changeis Technical Development team to ensure the best technical system solution is leveraged by our clients to meet business needs, utilizing services, platforms, infrastructure, etc. This is a high-visibility role that will leverage deep technical skills and provides for an opportunity to interface directly with clients to assist in meeting functional and non-functional requirements.  In providing the best solution to the end user that links to proper and modern software development and design practices, methods, and tools, ideal candidates will have the knowledge in designing and deploying software in a cloud/cloud-native environment.  Technical expertise is required to leverage the process, tools, methods and philosophies of Micro/mini services, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, iterative improvements, quality code measures, containerization, automated testing and deployment.

Scope of work

The Senior Solutions Architect with 15 years of professional experience will be responsible for: 

• Client Engagement: Build and maintain relationships with senior-level clients (e.g., Executives, Directors) to understand their strategic needs and identify opportunities for business development.
• Strategic Planning: Collaborate with senior management to align technical solutions with business strategies, contributing to the development and execution of long-term plans.
• Identifying and communicating to federal tech leads the technical trends and best practices in Application Architecture and Software Development
• Experienced development leader with Full-stack cloud software development experience.
• Participates in various meetings (Customer Meetings, internal Development team, Scrums, Exec Brief support, etc.) to determine proper technical/architectural method for fulfillment of system development.
• Assists federal team in defining the software system architecture and its overall design
• Creating/writing appropriate design views, technical documentation and briefs as needed.
• Reviewing software team development methods, process, and recommends improvements as needed to improve overall code efficiency, quality and velocity.
• Providing input to resolve technical issues escalated by the team.
• Experience with Test Driven Design, CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes, DevSecOps and test automation.
• Providing knowledge, experience and technical advisement to the fed team to promote the development, best practices and standards in the delivery of the programs software and meeting program goals, requirements and overall success.

Technical competencies:

• Web Services based design and implementation
• API design and implementation
• High performance system messaging for microservice-based systems
• Knowledge of JSON, MRSS, XML, and REST
• GitOps, Git

Role Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree
• Must have 15 years of professional experience
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. for any employer without sponsorship
• AWS Solutions Architect certification (highly preferred)
• AWS DevOps Engineer certification (highly preferred)
