Are you a tech expert ready to make a real impact? As a Senior Solutions Engineer at Nearmap, you'll harness your deep technical and product knowledge to transform our Imagery, 3D, and AI technology into powerful solutions for our clients.

What You’ll Do:

As a Senior Solutions Engineer, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how our customers and prospects utilise Nearmap’s Imagery, 3D, and AI technologies. Your role will involve:

• Advise & Innovate: Use your expertise to guide customers and prospects in leveraging Nearmap’s solutions to solve their unique challenges and achieve exceptional results.
• Support & Collaborate: Partner with our Sales Team to deliver tailored support, including demos, integrations, and custom applications, both on-site and virtually.
• Drive Success: Work closely with internal teams—Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success—to shape our tech stack, create compelling content, and enhance our customer experience.
• Client Engagement: Serve as a trusted advisor, using your technical expertise to provide insights and recommendations on integrating Nearmap’s solutions to address unique challenges and achieve exceptional outcomes.
• Support Sales: Work closely with our Sales Team to provide pre-sales and post-sales support. This includes running discovery calls, delivering demos, creating custom proof-of-concepts, and designing bespoke applications using Nearmap’s APIs.
• Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with internal stakeholders across Sales, Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success to drive product improvements, create compelling content, and support strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven track record of at least 3+ years in Solution Engineering or a similar pre-sales role. 
• Technical Experience: Our preference is that you have a background in Insurance, Insurtech, or related fields like Electrical Utilities, Telecommunications, or AEC & if so, we'd love to hear from you!
• Skills: Strong presentation and interpersonal skills, proficiency in geospatial applications (like ArcGIS, QGIS), and programming experience, particularly with Python. An understanding of AI, Machine Learning, and data science is a plus.
• Personal Attributes: You should be autonomous, highly organised, and capable of managing your time effectively. Confidence in public speaking and a knack for creative problem-solving are essential.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in APIs, programming, and a passion for AI and data science.
• Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field with exposure to geospatial concepts.
