Why We Need You:
PEMCO has a dynamic and challenging opportunity for a Senior Solutions Engineer to join our community. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and supporting employee-facing intranet content for PEMCO staff and agent extranet websites, and internal intranet and marketing microsites using Office 365, with third party integrations and solutions.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Lead the conceptual design, implementation, and support of large-scale user experiences across multiple product spaces and teams, including intranet branding and user interfaces.
- Participate in a regular week-long on-call rotation to support technology business needs after hours.
- Participate in the creation of PEMCO's internal and external technology service strategy and work along with the Project Management Office (PMO) and business leaders on implementation of resulting projects.
- Propose and monitor and report service budget consumption and help maintain costs with well-designed architecture, scaling of services to meet demand, and overall service governance, offering multi-cloud solutions, including Azure, AWS, and Oracle.
- Research, monitor, and control service degradation and improvements, providing solution recommendations based on a balance of customer impact, business needs, and technical constraints.
- Influence management to gain buy-in for designs that enable the user to achieve their objectives.
- Engineer external IT resources for enterprise digital projects utilizing SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams and Power Automate.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and other designers to continuously improve and innovate on the PEMCO user experience, actively interfacing and coordinating change with Office 365 business content owners.
- Advance modern user experience in Microsoft Office 365 collaboration and productivity suites by adding functionality, introducing services, and optimizing performance, and with additional integration services including Microsoft Viva.

What You'll Bring:
- B.A. or B.S. degree or equivalent work experience (IT related field) is required
- 6+ years of experience in web design roles including experience producing consumer and intranet websites is required
- Senior-level experience using and supporting cloud services, Office 365 services, and service integrations
- Experience working in growth- and innovation-focused environments
- Job specific: Proficient in using SharePoint Online including Power Apps/Power Automate, CSS, Azure AD, SSO, Microsoft MFA, Terraform Cloud, and PowerShell, JSON, JavaScript (Frameworks React/Angular), and HCL is required
- Project Management: Has a proven track record of driving and motivating cross-functional team members to successfully implement technology or business projects is required
- Problem Solver: Ability to analyze, diagnose and resolve complex unstructured problems quickly, efficiently, and collaboratively is required
- Analytical and data-driven: Thinks analytically; a structured thinker who can put complex ideas into clear frameworks; uses data to conduct root cause analysis and develops high quality, consumable, and consistent metrics that drive strategic objectives and priorities is required
- Team Player: Is responsive, flexible, and able to succeed in a team-oriented, collaborative environment, building effective working relationships and partnerships with internal partners, customers, and vendors is required

- MS Office: Skilled proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook is required
- Communicator: Communicates clearly and informatively, verbally and in writing, with colleagues, customers, and the community in both technical and non-technical professional language is required
- Job specific: Skilled with management tools including Smartsheet workflows, ShortPoint, ShareGate, and Kentico is preferred
- Research & Development: is an idea generator and knows what it takes to execute with speed to market. Can envision what's possible and work through the design and development steps required to gain sponsorship and move to action
- Job specific: Knowledge of wireframes, journey-mapping, and storytelling, building Epics/Stories, working with either Kanban or Scrum methodologies.
- Business Environment: Has a thorough understanding of our industry, the relevant business landscape, and trends in growth and insurance environments; can spot early indicators of change and apply strategies to adapt quickly

Compensation:
The compensation range for this role is shown below. Placement within the range varies depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Greater Seattle Area*: The pay range for this position ranges from $98,550-$131,400-$164,249
- Outside Greater Seattle**: The pay range for this position ranges from $88,695-$118,260-$147,824
*Greater Seattle Area is defined as working within approximately 100 miles of Seattle.
**Outside Greater Seattle is defined as working approximately 100 miles or more from Seattle.
Benefits:
Regular part-time PEMCO employees working at least 24 hours per week and regular full-time PEMCO employees are eligible to elect coverage under medical, dental, and vision plans for themselves and their eligible family members with generous employer premium cost shares. In addition, as a benefits-eligible employee, you are:
- covered by employer-paid basic life and accidental death & dismemberment insurance policies as well as long- and short-term disability benefit coverages.
- eligible to participate in PEMCO's 401(k) plan which includes a generous employer match (2 for 1 on the first 6% employee pre-tax and/or Roth deferral, up to federal maximums).
PEMCO provides the following paid leave programs for benefits-eligible employees in their first year of PEMCO employment:
- Vacation accrues at a rate of 10 days for new hires, and increases based on a schedule to a maximum annual accrual of 25 days based on tenure
- Granted four (4) personal days immediately upon hire
- Paid holidays for the eight (8) holidays observed by PEMCO throughout the calendar year.
- Granted up to ten (10) days of sick leave immediately upon hire (pro-rated based on hire date and full-time/part-time status), which is approximately 28 hours more per year than the Washington state-required accrual
- In addition, PEMCO provides paid time off for bereavement, jury duty, and employee volunteering in the community.
