Senior Solutions Engineer

MBRDNA is headquartered in Silicon Valley, California, with key areas of Autonomous Driving, Advanced Interaction Design, Digital User Experience, Machine Learning, Customer Research, and Open Innovation. In Farmington Hills, Michigan, the focus is on Powertrain and eDrive technology as well as in Long Beach, where the teams test durability of the latest driver assistant and telematic systems. The Digital Hub in Seattle focusses on developing a cloud architecture and building out the cloud platform for the next generation of connected car services. The Testing and Regulatory Affairs Division in Ann Arbor and the Advanced Vehicle Design in Carlsbad complete the competence center.

The Senior Solutions Engineer is responsible for delivery and support of IT solutions to MBRDNA. This position will also oversee the Network Service Tower provided by our external service provider. Individuals in this position should possess the following attributes:

Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.

Able to manage difficult and sometimes complex problems.

Influences others regarding policies, practices and procedure.

Job Responsibilities:

• Solution Design and Implementation.
• Systems Engineering and operational support.
• 3rd level support with a focus on Server, Network and Storage.
• Analyzes and specifies technical requirements for on-prem and cloud based infrastructure.
• Analyzes issues or to make improvements to processes, systems or products.
• Designs and implements on-prem and cloud based infrastructure concepts and solutions that have a significant impact on department or business unit results Service Tower Lead - Network.
• Own and lead the delivery of data center and network services, as provided by external service provider.
• Ownership is defined as: Accountable for overall performance of the service - Works to influence service providers in order to bring about positive results - Understanding the objectives of the business unit, and ensuring the service is aligned with those objective
• Maintains a full understanding of the service offerings, particularly those consumed by the business units.
• Maintains a full knowledge of the Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators for the services consumed by our business units.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field.
• 5 - 7 years IT Project management and implementation.
• Driver’s License.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expert in security applications (firewalls / proxy) and networking (LAN and WLAN).
• Experienced working in data center environments.
• Ability to learn new IT expert fields.
• Project management skills (Agile, Waterfall).
• Basic knowledge in Audio Visual solutions.
• Communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships within and outside the company .

The successful candidate’s starting pay will be determined based on a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, job-related education, skills, and experience, geographic location, and market conditions. The current salary range for this position is as follows and may be modified in the future:$101,400 - $126,800.
