Position Purpose

The Senior Sourcing Analyst will lead cross-functional partners to write and implement SLAs and critical vendor performance processes in alignment with business risk-management needs, support and manage RFx processes and provide contract status reports to stakeholders. They will also embed those SLA and risk mitigation requirements into RFP processes and contract obligations as appropriate.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Work with IT business partners to develop critical vendor vetting/selection and management processes that result in excellent service, long-term innovation, continuous improvement, and collaboration commitments.
  • Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders to provide functional expertise and partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Information Security to support adherence to applicable policies.
  • Lead research and analysis efforts to facilitate good business decisions
  • Assist with Indirect Sourcing tool implementations and SOP development
  • Ensure competitive sourcing processes are utilized leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, services and technology.
  • Prepare and manage the negotiation process utilizing RFIs, RFPs and RFQs. Develop negotiation approach, fallback positions, and execution of contracts terms and conditions meeting company risk requirements.
  • Maintain knowledge of market trends including rigorous analysis of market drivers, cost structures and technical improvements for assigned industries. Ensure pricing levels are at reasonable value for products and services being purchased.
  • Utilize robust communication mechanisms with internal teams to gather their business requirements, present RFx results and supplier selection recommendations and drive sourcing process to closure.
  • Ensure compliance to related company policies.

Position Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional/project teams
  • 3+ years of experience negotiating contracts
  • Bachelor's degree in relevant area (e.g. finance, business management, IT)
  • Ability to manage projects, adapt to changing priorities and multiple deadlines quickly
  • Applicable analytical experience and expertise, include excel skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively and influence cross-functional team members, as well as external contacts
  • Proven, analytical, problem solving and project management skills
  • Excellent Interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Business negotiation experience or applicable experience where similar skills are required
  • Exposure to contract terms and conditions, Statements of Work, Service Schedules, SLAs, supplier performance KPIs desired
  • Strong relationship management skills with ability to effectively influence all levels of the organization
  • Ability to collect, analyze, interpret and communicate complex information
  • Ability to manage multiple priority negotiations or projects simultaneously
