About the department Cloudflare's Procure to Pay department is housed within the Finance organization. Our reach is global, supporting thousands of purchases across our offices, per quarter. We use an integrated platform for purchase-order based Procurement, and a contract management and collaboration tool for negotiated, signed contracts. We work cross functionally with business stakeholders, with the majority of our purchases involving technology and internet infrastructure. As a result, we require familiarity with industry trends and challenges needed by our internal customers. Our team is responsible for setting policies, defining new processes, and ensuring that the Procurement function aligns to Cloudflare's long-term strategic vision and goals. We are a small and growing team, presenting lots of opportunity for professional growth and visibility across multiple divisions. What you'll do Cloudflare's Senior Sourcing Manager - Procurement will support the end-to-end sourcing and supplier management processes. Ours is a growing company therefore, applicants should anticipate that this role may evolve over time. This person will be an internal point of contact for key business functions. In addition, they will work closely with other functions within Procurement including Contract Management and Procurement Operations. Who You Are: We are looking for a resourceful strategic individual to help develop and implement sourcing strategy and policies. The perfect candidate is an experienced professional who is well versed in category management and brings relentless attention to detail. That individual is also a proactive problem solver and negotiator, who understands the need for collaboration and partnership both with internal and external stakeholders. Key Functions:

• Negotiation
• Tracking savings and cost avoidance
• Developing cost reduction strategies
• Driving purchasing decisions based on costs, and market trends
• Identifying new supplier opportunities
• Conducting market research
• Understanding benchmarking and industry trends
• Stakeholder relationship management
• Perform supplier research and analysis
• Create cost estimates and forecasts
• Supplier relationship management
• Participate in the development of goals
• Provide interpretation and analysis of business terms in contractual documents
• Evaluate requests for change as it relates to cost, schedule impact, technical specifications
• Work with stakeholders to identify total cost of ownership
• Utilize tools and summary documents to track and communicate project statuses
• Develop financial models to determine business cases for deals
• Identify critical path issues and performance improvement
• Establish criteria for new partners and assess existing partnerships

Desirable skills, knowledge and experience

• Bachelor's or graduate degree in business
• Prior experience as a sourcing or category manager
• Attention to detail
• Advanced analytical and strategic thinking abilities
• Problem solving and continuous improvement
• Experience with diversity sourcing
• Demonstrated negotiation skills
