Senior Specialist Automation Engineer

Role Description

We are currently seeking automation tester with Fraud/Anti-Money Laundering (AML)/Finance background to join our dynamic and growing Data migration services team in Pune. The person would work with the engineering team to understand the integration platform and test the pre-built data migration workflow so that they are fit for purpose. This role should have a good exposure to Hadoop / Bigdata ecosystem with an explore and challenge mindset. This role would be on the testing of the framework and connectors including performance testing.

Responsibilities

• Guide and train the team about Testing Methodologies, Standards, Tools and Practices, Testing Automation
• Guide and train the team regarding mapping business scenarios to testing scenarios
• Working with architects, engineers, and third-party vendors to understand high level design, cross-interface impact, architectural and non-functional features addressing the customer requirements
• Translate the functional and non-functional requirement to test scenarios and test cases
• Ensuring overall product health and operation quality
• Should understand the various issues related to data transformation and integration to create test scenarios
• Maintenance of the automation BDD cucumber framework
• Ensuring that the automation framework uses best of breed technology including open source tools
• Conducting internal product demos and assisting stakeholders in demo activity
• Ensure that the product tested meets the quality goals of the product team
• Should be hands on in terms of defining test scope, test strategy, testing – manual and automation.
• Actively involved in the design, development and Monitoring of Automation Test cases. Identifying gaps in automation coverage and working with relevant stakeholders in preparing a strong backlog of items to work upon.
• Prepare and share overall quality status covering different dimensions at Unit level.
• Day to Day working within team to resolve issues and technically lead from front.
• Collaborating with multiple agile teams and process control leaders

Requirements for the role:

• Experience in integration with AWS cloud
• Experience in preparation & execution of Test Strategy, Test plan
• Hands on experience of Automation test development using AWS/SDK/Java
• Hands on experience of Automation framework like Cucumber/REST API
• Exposure to testing in a data integration project involving ETL tools and Big data is a plus.
• Exposure to Finance / Anti Money Laundering (AML). Product experience is a plus
• Exposure to serverless architecture is a plus
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• A team leader that demonstrates a strong work ethics, creativity, assertiveness, and flexibility
• Good communication skills (English)

Qualifications:

• E/ B.Tech or degree equivalent.
• 10 - 15 years of software testing experience in a Test/QA Team with Enterprise Product preferably in financial risk domain
• Great interpersonal and communication skills / Customer Facing skills
• Experience working with agile software development methodology
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Leadership skills
• Knowledge of performance and scalability test practices and required tools

Other preferred skills

• Experience with Agile Development methodologies using JIRA, user stories, acceptance criteria, feature prioritization, and defining product specifications
• exposure to CI/CD, DevOps is a plus exposure in translating non-functional (performance/security) requirement to test scenarios and test cases
