Senior Specialist - Continuous Improvement
Job Description
A Day in the Life
- Collaborate within the CI team to support a portfolio of continuous improvement initiatives, leading internal projects as assigned based on Stoneridge’s strategic plan
- Partner with client-facing and internal enablement functions across Stoneridge to identify areas for process improvement, design the best approach for improvement, facilitate discovery, and create improved processes, solutions, and assets relevant to Stoneridge Software’s delivery methodology (Proven Process) and internal standard operating procedures
- Work as product owner for the Playbook website, providing leadership and management to the continued evolution, implementation, and reinforcement of the Playbook in line with Stoneridge’s 5-year strategic plan
- Plan, facilitate, and execute continuous improvement events in support of Stoneridge strategic priorities, using a hybrid toolkit of continuous improvement, process improvement, design thinking, and change management methods
- Teach, lead, and coach cross-functional teams on continuous improvement methodology and tools, to equip team members with the knowledge, skills, and tools to drive continuous improvement within their teams and roles, helping to facilitate a culture of continuous improvement within Stoneridge Software
- Assist with defining success and metrics for measuring continuous improvement outcomes, and monitor implemented process improvements and solutions to measure impact and achieve intended benefits
- Contribute to tactical execution of a backlog of improvement items from After Action Reviews, in collaboration with others in the CI Team and Stoneridge business process owners / subject matter experts
- Communicate in formal and informal presentation settings, including small to large-sized groups, internal project teams, and all-company meetings and events; and develop written communications to address varied communication styles and information needs
- Facilitate strategic envisioning, design thinking, and/or process review sessions, as needed
- Maintain strong organization of work and track project deliverables using specified tools
- Develop productive working relationships and credibility with internal team members in a way that aligns with Stoneridge culture and values and contributes to a positive and healthy workplace environment
- Continuously document and reflect on lessons learned, and collaborate with the CI Team and other key stakeholders to solidify continuous improvement mindset and behavior across Stoneridge
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a role related to continuous improvement, process improvement, and/or change management
- Previous experience in a product owner role, or previous responsibility for vision execution and lifecycle management of a specific tool or product
- Understanding of how consulting companies work, with knowledge and/or experience working in the Microsoft consulting space as a plus
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to translate requirements into a solution that meets business needs
- Data-oriented mindset, with experience identifying metrics for improvement and monitoring / reporting on progress to key stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, including active listening, written, and verbal
- Ability to make decisions based on information at hand and influence decision-making
- Strong facilitation skills and practice working with small and large groups across a wide array of perspectives
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain productive, professional, and values-driven working relationships
- Self-motivated and capable of operating in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment
- Willingness to lean into difficult conversations, and courageous and creative in navigating conflict
