Senior Specialist, Media Partnerships

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Specialist, Media Partnerships to join our team. In this position, you will play a critical role in cultivating relationships with top-tier media outlets and expanding our reach within the media industry. You will be responsible for developing strategies for industry engagement and managing initiatives to grow our audience through social media and other channels, as well as collaborating internally to continually improve our product and value proposition for journalists.

What You Will Do

• Develop and sustain partnerships with media outlets to enhance the visibility of our customers’ releases.
• Lead and execute strategies for media industry engagement, including participating in and contributing to industry events and discussions.
• Communicate effectively with media partners to coordinate the dissemination of press releases and secure high-visibility placement.
• Serve as the primary liaison between Media Distribution and Marketing, ensuring alignment and collaboration on company initiatives.
• Oversee our Press Pass Subscriber program, constantly seeking to add value and improve the service for journalists.
• Craft and oversee social media strategies for press release distribution, aiming for significant audience growth and engagement.
• Take ownership of growth metrics, analyzing data to drive strategy and reporting on key performance indicators.
• Collaborate with partners to devise innovative methods for expanding our media distribution network.
• Contribute to product development, advocating for improvements that enhance user experience and service delivery.
• Ability to be a problem solver who listens to build relationships, and will think outside box for solutions.

What You Will Need

• Bachelor’s Degree and 5+ years of experience and existing relationships in news and/or online media.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with media outlets and industry influencers.
• Strong understanding of social media platforms and experience in managing social media programs.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to work effectively across internal teams.
• Comfortable with public speaking and presenting to a variety of audiences.
• Data-driven mindset with experience in tracking and analyzing growth metrics.
• Knowledge of industry trends and market dynamics related to media, news, and press release distribution a plus.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

What We Offer

• The base salary range for this position is $60K to $75K/year. Offered salary will be determined by several factors, including but not limited to: applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with geographic market data.
