Job Description

Are you a forward-thinking engineer with the expertise to make waves globally? Here's your chance to be part of our Splunk Observability (ITSI) project. You'll play a crucial role in our Observability initiative, ensuring the effective integration of IT infrastructure and applications for important business services with Splunk ITSI. The driver for this program is to enhance operational visibility, drive incident efficiency, and reduce MTTR and MTTD.

Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain Splunk ITSI solutions to provide comprehensive observability
• Develop and configure ITSI services, dashboards, and correlation searches to meet the needs of service & business owners
• Integrate ITSI with other monitoring and alerting tools to provide a unified view of system health & performance
• Collaborate with teams to identify & define KPIs and SLOs for critical services
• Troubleshoot and resolves issues related to ITSI, including data ingestion, indexing, and search performance
• Utilise Splunk ITSI AI & ML capabilities for Anomaly Detection & Predictive Analytics

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience with with Splunk ITSI & Splunk Enterprise
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python & Shell
• Proven ability to develop complex dashboards tailored to customer requirements.
• Excellent Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) command for efficient data analysis and reporting.
• Skilled in gathering requirements and configuring dashboards for fault management, including error codes, alerts, OIDs, and severity details.
• Expertise in suppressing alerts for specific events based on customer needs.
• Adept at gathering requirements and configuring performance dashboards, KPIs, thresholds, and alerts.
• Knowledgeable in auto ticketing through correlation searches and Notable Event Aggregation policies.
• Familiar with Service Analyzer and episode review processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Nice to have:

• Knowledge of Splunk Machine Learning Tool Kit
• Experience with mainframe integrations
• Experience with Open Telemetry
