Senior Spot Production Specialist - Cox Media

Role Summary:
The Senior Spot Production Specialist is a key contributor in defining the creative strategy and creating content associated with marketing tactics on behalf of our advertisers. Manages the development, production, execution, and distribution of completed video and digital creation for our internal and external clients. This position reports to the Local Manager of Creative Production.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Record dynamic high-quality video footage using Sony F7S Camera and other various methods as needed.
• Edits video content to create TV commercials and online advertisements that achieve marketing objectives for local advertising clients.
• Partners with Clients, Sales Consultants, and Sales Leadership to come up with unique ways to use video and digital creative to craft a message about various businesses, internal promotions, and specific market content.
• Creates graphics, typography, and layouts for use in both video and online creative
• Script writing that captures a client's message and business needs
• Designs layout of online advertising including in-banner video, pre-roll video, and mobile platform displays
• Seeks ways to grow skills in an ever-changing advertising landscape
• Works as a good collaborator and high-energy team player on the Creative Services Team.
• Able to manage projects from inception to completion

Qualifications:
Minimum

• High School Diploma/GED and 5 years' experience in a related field. The right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline and 3 years' experience; or 7 years' experience in a related field and no college degree.
• Experience in related areas Video Production, Marketing, Communications, etc.
• Experienced in non-linear editing and working with various digital formats to support instruction and guidance in the editing of productions. Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent analytical, decision-making, initiative, process-oriented, verbal, written, interpersonal, leadership, and collaborative skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
• Proven proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud applications
• Experience in developing creative concepts, scripts, and layouts
• Highly experienced in the area of responsibility. Must perform all of the standardized and some specialized complex aspects of the function.
• Applies advanced skills to resolve complex problems independently; May modify processes to resolve the situation.
• Communicates well, is self-motivated, and works well with little supervision.
• Thorough knowledge of tasks and responsibilities. Effectively applies skills to accomplish tasks.
• Sought out/and or assigned to provide general guidance/direction, training, and technical assistance to junior-level support personnel contributes to employee's professional development but does not have hiring or firing authority.

Preferred

• BS/BA degree in visual arts, graphic design, or related video production degree with an emphasis in online space or another medium.
• Proficient in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere.
• Proficient with digital banner creation, static and animated (HTML5)
• Creative track record demonstrated through an audition reel or prior work
• 2+ years of graphic design experience in online or other environments
• Experience in non-linear editing and working with various digital formats to support instruction and guidance in the editing of productions.
