The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Senior Stability Test Engineer, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Completing self-initiated and assigned technical activities, directed toward significant impact to the health care business.
• Utilizing knowledge of material science, technical, product, and market information on decision making.
• Leading by example on technical activities and assist in the development of other team members, contract workers, tech aides, etc. Be a role model with a team lead attitude.
• Implementing new and evaluate current test methodologies, analysis for robust, consistent, compliant creative solutions.
• Determining gaps and areas of improvements for future of our product portfolios in overall stability strategy.
• Potential for a hybrid work schedule based on project demand.

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of combined academic or work experience in materials/polymers in a private, public, government, or military environment.

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) in material science, polymers, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Minimum five (5) years' experience in a regulated industry and/or with medical devices.
• Knowledge of design development methods, and application of ISO/FDA standards for medical devices.

Location: San Antonio, Texas

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic/international

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
