Explore and embrace your role:

As a Senior Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial integrity of the organization; your work will be crucial to the financial success of Envista Forensics. You will be responsible for building key relationships with internal and external customers, ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures, and driving department efficiencies. This role is hybrid, reporting to the Deerfield, IL location of Envista twice a week.

• Partners with and provides timely and responsive accounting guidance to stakeholders within the business.
• Participates in the formulation of policy for the department, researching and recommending effective policies.
• Identifies and addresses needs for workflow processes, including centralization, standardization, and automation.
• Leads components of department level initiatives involving complex accounting research and coordination across functional areas.
• Drives the effectiveness of the monthly close reporting process.
• Prepares month-end journal entries as assigned, complete general ledger account reconciliation, identifies and investigates reconciling items as needed. Coordinates, reviews, and reconciles intercompany activities between all the entities with Envista.
• Reviews Capital/Operating leases prepare monthly rent entries and schedules and maintains reporting.
• Analyze and report on balance sheet and income statement variances
• Collaborate with stakeholders on implementing steps to prevent further errors.
• Identifies and implements business process improvements in areas of responsibility.

Essential expertise to ensure success:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting
• 3-5 years' relevant accounting experience in S
• Strong situational analysis and decision-making abilities.
• Familiar with ASC 606 and ASC 842.

Elevated expertise to excel/stand-out:

• Proficient at all aspects of the month end close process and related financial reporting requirements.
• Experience with international and multi-entity organizational structures.
• Project management skills to lead process improvement activities including automation.
• Experience leading a project.
