Job Summary

We are looking for an Senior Staff Accountant to join our eMed team and help us to oversee and manage the financial activities of the organization. This includes preparing financial statements, reconciling accounts, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting principles and regulations. The Senior Staff Accountant may also supervise junior accounting staff and contribute to the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
• Provide financial reports and analysis to management, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
• Reconcile and analyze general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies or variances in financial records.
• Maintain a thorough understanding of the organization's chart of accounts.
• Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting principles and regulations.
• Assist in the preparation of financial audits and collaborate with auditors.
• Assist in the development and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
• Analyze budget variances and provide insights to management.
• Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making.
• Provide insights into financial performance and trends.
• Participate in strategic financial planning and analysis.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
• Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
• All other accounting duties as assigned 

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Expertise in US GAAP
• Experience in NetSuite preferred
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills including Excel and PowerPoint
• Experience with SaaS revenue recognition requirements
• Strong written and oral communications
• Strong aptitude to learn in fast paced environment
• Self-starter with entrepreneurial drive and energy
• Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills
• Exceptional attention to detail, time management and problem solving skills. 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
• 3+ years of broad finance experience required with a track record of strong financial and operational discipline, in the Healthcare market.
• CPA preferred.
