Description

The Senior Staff Accountant will have ownership of business transactions, financial reporting, and compliance for 9+ global locations serving to enforce and monitor compliance with company accounting policies and procedures. This role will perform complex accounting activities and financial analyses utilizing hands-on accounting experience and an in-depth understanding of accounting principles and company practices. The role is part of a team of professionals with a great deal of cross function, resource sharing and cross training opportunities. The candidate will be enthusiastic about details yet have proven analytical ability to go beyond transactional execution by independently managing and improving assigned workflows.

RESPONSIBILTIES:
  • Corporate and regional tax gathering, preparation and liaison for global tax partners
  • Financial audit and statutory gathering and/or reporting for global entities
  • Sales, Use, VAT and GST tax reporting and filing
  • Treasury activity and foreign currency trades
  • Vendor payment and wire/ACH transmissions
  • Month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Prepare and manage assigned portion of financial reporting and analysis
  • Full ownership of assigned Key Customer Accounts
  • Fixed assets, account reconciliations, and compliance support
  • Manage any external tax or compliance audits
  • Document and monitor internal controls
  • Back up management of company credit card program
  • Enforce company policies and procedures
  • Improve processes and procedures to adapt to the changes in our business
  • Ensure financial statements accurately reflect the information related to the function

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, math, business administration, or related field
  • CPA and/or experience in Public Accounting a plus
  • 5+ years' industry experience-with a product, distribution, or manufacturing company
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experience executing in a fast-paced, high growth environment
  • Experience in process improvement
  • Highly detail-oriented and organized
  • Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines
  • Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with different levels of employees including executive leadership
  • Superior analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Familiarity with accounting software and programs
