Senior Staff Accountant

Job Duties:

• Support the Controller and Accounting Manager in preparing journal entries and completion of monthly financial reporting package.
• Perform monthly Balance Sheet reconciliations including Cash, AR/AP, Intercompany, and ST/LT Liability accounts
• Assist Controller in budget-to-actuals and forecast-to-actuals variance analysis.
• Manage the weekly management reporting process and KPI updates, including daily WIP report submissions.
• Manage Accounts Receivable processing, including tracking, reconciliation, and cash application upon cash receipts.
• Support monthly department PL analysis providing feedback to department heads on cost-controls and margin analysis.
• Development and maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures to standardize finance processes.
• Assist with investigations into root-cause analysis and resolution of system operation failures.
• Collaborate on Continuous Improvement goals for Finance department, including Standard Operating Procedures, financial metrics and analysis
• Provide support for financial audits and SOX compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field from an accredited school. CPA preferred.

• 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the manufacturing industry.

• Experience with GAAP/IFRS.

• Advanced MS Excel skills.

• Strong analytical and interpersonal skills and experience working with cross functional teams.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
