Job description
A well-known, large, billion dollar international corporation is seeking a highly skilled Senior Staff Accountant to join its accounting and finance team. This position is ideal for a finance professional with a strong foundation in both public accounting and private industry, who is ready to take ownership of key financial reporting functions and drive reporting accuracy in a dynamic, global environment.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes in compliance with US GAAP
• Prepare and analyze consolidated financial statements for internal and external reporting
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Assist in the preparation of audit schedules and coordinate with external auditors during year-end audits
• Support the development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls
• Partner with various business units and teams to ensure accuracy in reporting and financial planning
• Participate in special projects including system enhancements and technical accounting research
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Previous background in public accounting preferred
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience working in ERP environments (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle)
• Strong attention to detail, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment
