What You’ll Do
Samsung SOC R&D Lab is looking for a highly versatile Technical Program Manager (TPM) to join the expanding team to commercialize the next generation of world-class cellular modem.
The candidate is expected to bring passion, innovation and strong acumen in executing large scale engineering projects from inception to production.Â
Location: Hybrid, working onsite at our San Diego, CA office 3 days a week, with the flexibility to work remotely the remainder of your time.

- Work in a multifaceted engineering environment to coordinate cross-functional efforts and drive the project deliverables for successful commercialization of Samsung modem solutions.
- Act as an interface between customers (OEM)/partners (Carriers) and global engineering teams to successfully manage new feature requests and issue escalations.
- Apply exceptional organizational and project management practices to track program dependencies, identify risks and initiate mitigation plans.
- Develop and articulate project status reports and technical road maps to key stakeholders and drive timely decision making.
What You Bring
- Bachelors with 15+ years of relevant industry experience, or Masters with 13+ years or PhD with 10+ years in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related field preferred.
- 8+ years of industry experience with 4 years in a program management role with hands on experience in managing SW development life cycle through design, implementation and validation.
- Experience in wireless radio access/core networking standards (5G-NR/LTE/UMTS/GSM) and familiarity with North American wireless carrier requirements.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the passion to motivate others and collaboratively work across teams to meet project requirements.
- Prior SW development/verification experience in wireless device industry.
- Track record of certifying devices through wireless carriers and understanding of Type Approval process.
- Experience working with wireless Carriers, Network infrastructure vendors and/or handset OEMs.

Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training.
