Senior / Staff Full Stack Software Engineer

Axio is a fast-growing startup working at the intersection of cybersecurity and insurance. Since raising our Series B funding in August 2022, we have accelerated our mission to empower organizations to understand, quantify, manage, and mitigate their cyber risk. With our innovative technology and data-driven insights, we are rapidly expanding internationally, helping businesses navigate the complex world of cybersecurity and insurance.

We are looking for a Senior or Staff Full Stack Software Engineer to help with our transformation from a services driven solution to SaaS. The effort includes refactoring web client logic to middleware, improving overall system scale, establishing and migrating to a micro service architecture, and re-inventing our UX. All while innovating on data and analytics driven functionality. The right person will participate in the design and development of our new projects, and work closely with product, data science, and devops to enhance, expand, and support our products.

Required technical skills:

• Strong proficiency in Java, with a minimum of 5 recent years of experience
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, with a minimum of 5 recent years of experience.
• Experience with SQL and no SQL Database
• Experience with microservices
• Knowledge of design patterns, system architecture
• Experience working with Agile/Scrum methodologies and delivering software in iterative cycles

Important technical skills:

• Experience mentoring or leading
• Experience with Python programming language
• Familiarity with the React framework

Target Salary Range:

Competitive salary and equity package; pay range $120,000 - $210,000 /yr depending on skills and experience
