Job Description

We are seeking a talented and motivated Product Architect to join our Power Attach PMIC Systems Engineering team to own and define next generation PMIC products.

Our division’s mission is to create PMIC products which complement Renesas’s offering of MCUs, MPUs and SOCs in both Automotive and Industrial areas. Renesas is a leading electronics supplier globally, and this is a rare opportunity to directly influence the future products which will be offered to our customers. In a world wide team and you will work closely with engineers based in India, Japan, Europe and US.

This role specifically focuses on the definition of PMIC products for Industrial applications, complementing the Renesas RZ family of MPUs and also PMICs for other broad market applications.

Qualifications

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Define PMIC product requirements, both performance and functional
• Interpret system requirements and translate to product specifications
• Work with customers and internal teams to ensure specifications meet customer needs
• Compare of design trade-offs and PMIC IP choices to achieve competitive product specifications
• Make decisions on product specifications based on input from Marketing, R&D and other core team members
• Work closely with R&D team to ensure successful product execution from kick-off to mass production
• Support customers with design-in activities

REQUIREMENTS 

• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Product ownership mentality
• Independent decision maker
• Strong knowledge of PMICs. Design or applications background desirable
• 10+ years of experience in PMIC, ideally including product definition
• Bachelor or Masters of Electronics Engineering or related discipline
• Travel will be required
