Senior Staff Software Engineer in Test - (REMOTE / WFH)

SailPoint is seeking a very senior lead/architect level engineer who is an expert in SaaS test automation tools, solutions, and processes. This person will evaluate our current automation tools and strategies in order to provide us with specific recommendations as to how to advance our testing over the next five years. In order to be able to accomplish this goal, a diversity of experiences with various automation tools, solutions, and practices will be necessary.
Duties & Responsibilities

• Gather requirements for test automation capabilities from back-end and front-end developers, testers, and product managers.
• Evaluate current automation solutions and practices with an eye for improvement.
• Assess new testing and TCM tools and drive the DACI processes to select the best solutions.
• Define, evangelize, and drive adoption of best practices in code health, testability, and maintainability for front- and back-end services.
• Determine KPIs we will use to track the health and effectiveness of your solutions.
• Help feature developers consume the tools and processes you put in place.
• Help develop and support the automation test harness.
• Integrate newly acquired product development teams into the solution you have helped build.

Qualifications

• Around 10 years in Software Automation, Testing, Development of SaaS applications.
• Understanding of effective methods for testing a MicroServices-based application.
• Strong coding skills in languages including but not limited to: Java, C/C++, C#, Objective C, Python, JavaScript, Ruby, or Go.
• Expert level experience in several testing and collaboration tools like Cucumber, Selenium, Appium, LeanFT, Playwright, Cypress, etc.
• Comfortable working with CI/CD tools like Jenkins and Cloudbees

Optional (Nice to Have):

• Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions
• Knowledge of automation frameworks such as Junit, Unit Testing, Jasmine, Easy Mock, etc.
