Nokia Standards targets collaboration with internal and external experts to advance the state-of-the-art technology landscape as well as to protect Nokia Intellectual Property. The Architecture, Security, and Automation Group is responsible for research and standardization activities related to 5G and 6G mobile network architecture, security and its AI/ML-empowered network automation. Our team leads the industry transition of mobile network functions, applications, and workloads to fully cloud-native deployments.

As part of our team, you will:
- Drive and defend Nokia's preferred solutions as a standardization delegate in 3GPP CT1 or 3GPP CT3.
- Actively contribute to 3GPP standardization, focusing on 5G and 5G-Advanced core network architecture evolution and later to 6G, to ensure that Nokia's strategy and products lead the development of next generation standards.
- Lead standards negotiations to achieve optimal outcomes, both in face-to-face meetings and electronic meetings.
- Contribute to innovation of 5G ,5G-Advanced and 6G core network evolution in the Nokia internal standardization program and related IPR activities.
- Strengthen customer collaborations with Nokia's key customers.
Your skills and experience
You have:
- A BSc/MSc degree or PhD.
- An established track record of professional experience in 5G/LTE core network architecture and protocols. This includes experience in the protocols developed in 3GPP CT1 such as NAS, protocols in IMS and Mission Critical Systems or the protocols developed in 3GPP CT3 for the Service Based Architecture, exposure framework, and policy control.
- Experience of working in standardization organizations or technology-oriented industry interest groups, experience in 3GPP standardization is a plus. Fluent English is essential in this environment as well as willingness to travel
It would be nice if you also had:
- Fast analytical and abstraction capabilities and you are result oriented.
- Experience of working in worldwide virtual teams.
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills, and proficiency in technical writing.
- A proven track record in inventions and innovation.
