Senior Startup Programs & Partnerships Manager

As a Senior Startup Programs & Partnerships Manager, you will design and optimize programs that drive the acquisition and engagement of net-new startups. Your programs will empower and enable entrepreneurs and technical decision-makers at startups to learn, grow, connect, and scale their software applications and SaaS businesses on DigitalOcean.
You will design, produce, and optimize events, challenges, hackathons, prizes, and other programs that are loved by developers everywhere, helping them simplify cloud computing so that they can spend more time creating software that changes the world.
What you'll be doing:
- Strategic program development, production, and iteration
Use qualitative and quantitative data to create and optimize scalable programs that best serve startup ecosystem audiences and drive sign-ups. - Partnerships development Identify, analyze, and collaborate with third-party organizations such as startup incubators, accelerators, VCs, governments, NGOs, and other cloud technology companies to co-create and co-market programs.
- Program marketing
Manage promotional campaigns that drive customers and future customers to register and participate in programs, and that help them build and scale on DigitalOcean. Campaign channels include email, social media, newsletters, paid advertising, grassroots outreach, events, etc. - Best-in-class startup storytelling Craft and amplify technical and growth best practices content and programming alongside founders, CTOs, developer advocates, solutions engineers, and other technical leaders within and outside of DigitalOcean.
- Product management
Create an online hub that helps startups around the world through events, technical content, and success stories that address the pain points of startups throughout their lifecycle. - Data-driven optimization Collect and mine data and analytics to gain a better understanding of program participant funnel and engagement behaviors, and tweak levers that improve key success metrics.
- Operational excellence
Create and implement processes, automation tools, and resources that help programs run smoothly and efficiently and achieve positive business results. - Working cross-functionallyWork with Developer Relations, Digital Experience, Content & Communications, and Growth Marketing teams to execute programs that enable current and future customers to succeed.
What you'll add to DigitalOcean:
- Passion for designing and scaling global programs that foster community, and that help SaaS founders, entrepreneurs, and startup ecosystem partners succeed.
- You love using data to make strategic decisions, and have a knack for reporting that has helped you earn buy-in from stakeholders of all levels.
- You're great at fostering relationships in person and online, at scale-building trust and promoting collaboration with stakeholders across departments, organizations, and time zones.
- Can independently manage multiple projects simultaneously, from conception to implementation. You're adaptable and versatile, and excel at planning, forecasting, risk management, budgeting, tracking/monitoring, facilitation, time management, organization, and problem solving.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a flair for crafting concise and friendly marketing copy that's approachable for all technical levels.
- You have experience facilitating sensitive and complex community situations with humility, empathy, judgment, tact, and humor.
- You're in tune with the latest SaaS startup ecosystem activity and trends.
- Very high degree of attention to detail and quality.
- Full-stack marketing experience.
- Knowledge of developer tools, cloud technologies, Git, Containers, Kubernetes, and other technologies in the Cloud Native landscape.
- Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, Confluence, Jira, Marketo, Bizzabo, Eventbrite, Meetup, StreamYard, ON24, and Bevy et. al.
