Title: Senior Statistical Forecasting Analyst
Location: Dallas, TX (3 days a week in office)
The Senior Statistical Forecasting Analyst, part of the Global Analytics team and US Supply Chain Planning, is responsible for developing, implementing, and evolving the statistical forecasting process. This position is accountable for creating statistical baseline forecasts at SKU level as well as leveraging market intelligence to generate an unconstrained demand plan as a foundation for the US S&OP process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and execute the statistical forecasting process. Own the statistical forecast scenarios (test of various model recommendations depending on GBU/Market size/Customer Channel)
- Analyze sales history patterns, interrogate forecast data trend in the markets to derive high quality business analysis and make recommendations to market
- Implement continuous improvement of the statistical forecasting process (process, forecast accuracy / bias & forecast improvement)
- Coordinate Demand Planning activities / priorities with local Demand Planner / regional Supply Chain Head related to statistical forecasting
- Support the S&OP process through documenting, planning, and facilitating as needed
- Monitor essential KPIs, such as MOH, COF, bad goods, demand plan accuracy and bias, and stock in trade. Develop and execute corrective actions when outside of established boundaries
- Collaborate cross functionally with US and global business leaders leading continuous improvement strategies in both the statistical forecasting and S&OP process
- Ensure correct historical data cleansing during deployment and implement processes to allow data cleansing in a routing mode during each forecast cycle
- Train the US demand planners on the statistical forecast and support them to ensure statistical forecasting is embedded within the demand planning process
- Other duties as assigned
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field required.
- 3-5 years in demand planning role with experience in statistical forecasting
- Experience in a matrix environment preferred
- Strong understanding of how planning processes drive operations
- Experience within CPG (consumer packaged goods) and or pharmaceutical/medical device environment strongly preferred
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously. Ability to adjust to changes in priorities and manage time effectively
- Experience building relationships and collaborating with multiple stakeholders within different business functions, as well as third party vendors and partners
- Strong communication, presentation, planning, and organizational skills
- Demonstrated analytical and critical thinking skills that drive results
