The Opportunity. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst is essential to help us grow our opportunity to manufacture products with outside suppliers, formalize our purchasing practices, ensuring production demands are met and costs are controlled. You will work closely with our planning department, engineering department and production team by providing necessary quality materials and components in a timely manner.

The Job. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst will locate vendors of machining capabilities, materials, equipment or supplies, and interview them in order to determine product availability, product origin and terms of sales. They will work to vet these vendors to determine if they are a good fit for our products and in building a collaborative working relationship with. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst will coordinate procurement activities, create, implement, and execute strategic purchasing plans for critical manufacturing products and services. They will purchase materials in a timely manner, at the lowest cost while still meeting quality expectations. Additionally, they will prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders for supplies and equipment and analyze market and delivery systems in order to assess present and future material availability. The Senior Strategic Sourcing Analyst will serve as a liaison with the vendors for the purpose of monitoring and consolidating orders for better management and expenses.

Requirements

• BS in related field preferred.
• 5 - 7 years purchasing/sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Inventory Management experience
• 2-3 years' experience working with inventory planning and control in a manufacturing environment.
• Results oriented and self-motivated to drive the team to achieve company and individual goals.
• ERP experience
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, must be proficient in Excel.
