Senior Strategic Sourcing Manager
Job Description
Are you a highly motivated individual who loves all things procurement and is looking to join a dynamic, and collaborative global team? Mimecast is looking for a Senior Strategic Sourcing Procurement Manager to lead categories including Product & Engineering, IT, and Security, encompassing software, professional services, datacenter, public cloud, and telecom agreements. Reporting to the Director of Procurement, you'll cultivate strong partnerships across functions, managing a category spend of over $30M. Your role involves aligning with Mimecast stakeholders to address business objectives, developing and executing category strategies, and leveraging market intelligence to optimize value creation and supplier relationships. With expertise in competitive bidding, negotiation, supplier management, and business partnering, you'll drive cost savings and value through a total cost of ownership approach, demonstrating credibility and domain knowledge in procurement.
What You'll Do
- Effectively lead multi-year category strategies to deliver on objectives and goals
- Act as a contributor for category/functional sourcing strategy and supplier selection
- Build and foster strategic supplier relationships utilizing supplier segmentation, spend analytics
- Implement a partnership engagement model to influence and support business strategy leveraging market insights and align sourcing and category strategies
- Frame and drive cross-functional sourcing agenda as well as alignment between category strategy and the needs and requirements of regions, countries, and sites
- Establish Supplier Relationship Business Forums as well as Supplier Performance measurement and dashboard
- Negotiate deals on master service/goods agreements, work orders and statement of works templates collaborating with Legal, Security and business partners
What You'll Bring
- 6-8+ years of Strategic Sourcing experience Diverse Global Sourcing / Procurement experience within the Software Technology/email security industries
- Historic excellency in IT and Engineering goods and services sourcing, contract negotiations, and supplier relationship management
- Demonstrated experience in identifying and utilizing full set of financial levers to drive value for stakeholders
- Strong understanding of best in breed eProcurement solutions -RFx tools but be able to manage offline as well.
- Broad knowledge of the market or external forces shaping an operations business context (e.g., supplier base, legal and regulatory environment, sources of competitive advantage)
- Ability to conduct benchmarking to address cost, quality, risk and innovation considerations as well as to provide thought leadership and actively shape strategy
- Change management experience with large and complex organizational transformations
- Global experience and an understanding of the nuances and differences among business cultures; able and willing to potentially travel 5-10% both globally as well as domestically.
