Job Description

WongDoody is hiring a Senior Strategist to support the creation of brand and experience strategies that resonate with consumers (B2C + B2B) while generating value for our client's business.

With support and guidance from Strategy Directors and Principals, the Senior Strategist will be an important contributor across a variety of accounts. The Senior Strategist will collaborate with cross-functional teams (XD, Engineering, and Creative) on digital product/experience, brand and marketing campaigns.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Support the strategic direction of our clients, their audiences, and their experiences:
    • Intake client documents such as business plans, marketing plans, personas, journeys, customer research, and analytics to understand their business, goals, and challenges.
    • Interview client stakeholders, run experience audits and competitive reviews of client’s brand and digital presence.
    • Compile research and data on audiences, trends, and brands using third-party research tools (GWI, Resonate, Talkwalker).
    • Instigate primary qualitative and quantitative consumer research to unearth insights that provide an understanding of different audiences; ensure this understanding is reflected in personas, consumer journeys, and experience maps.
    • Distill and present discovery findings to clients and the broader team.
  • Support Strategy Principals and Directors in developing recommendations that address gaps, inspire incredible work and lead to meaningful improvement.
    • Plan and help facilitate ideation and strategic activities such as workshops and brainstorming.
    • Create thoughtful, expressive strategies, brand positioning, communications, and go-to-market plans that help focus and inspire our CX and creative teams.
    • Develop creative briefs anchored in strong insights, clearly articulate the human problem behind the business problem, and have a compelling and single-minded idea.
    • Participate in internal reviews to provide strategic guidance; collaborate to ensure effective translation from discovery to design to execution.
  • Partner with broader client teams to share learnings on emerging technologies within the experience and brand landscape as well as larger consumer trends from social, popular culture, and international markets.
  • Collect information around strategy, insight, and research vendors and share knowledge with others.

WHAT YOU'VE GOT

  • 4-6 years of strategy experience within a digital creative agency or innovation consultancy.
    • Multi-category/industry experience with B2B and B2C.
    • Experience with product design and development.
  • Hands-on workshop experience.
  • Strengths in client-facing discussions and presentation delivery, 
  • Comfort working with third-party analysis and data sets such as GWI, Resonate, and Talkwalker.
