Job Description

Do you eat, sleep, and breathe studio design? Do you dream about pixel-perfect print mechanicals while disorganized server structures haunt your nightmares? Does the idea of building templatized presentation deck systems sound like your equivalent of a Zen Garden? If your answer to these questions is yes, we have some good news for you – we’re offering an opportunity to do all these things and more.

We’re looking for a seasoned Senior Production Designer to join our small but powerful creative team. You’ll be working across a broad range of design work including 360 campaigns, digital assets, print layouts, out-of-home billboards, experiential, and more, as well as helping to re-imagine some of the ways we do things internally to keep us running like a well-oiled machine.

Requirements

  • At least 5+ years’ experience in a studio design role at a creative agency or similar.
  • Advanced knowledge in Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Figma.
  • Knowledge in After Effects, Blender, Houdini, and/or Cinema4D are a huge plus.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects.
  • Experience creating and maintaining file organization structures.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work at a rapid pace with excellent time management.
  • This position will be based in Boulder, Colorado, with two days in the office per week.

Responsibilities

  • Execute Campaign Assets: Produce high-quality campaign assets across various sizes and formats, ensuring they meet the highest standards of brand consistency.
  • Presentation Deck Templates: Create and maintain visually compelling presentation deck templates that effectively communicate our level of attention to detail and are easy for our creative teams to navigate.
  • Consistency Across Assets: Oversee and enforce brand guidelines to maintain consistency in all visual materials, ensuring a cohesive and impactful brand presence.
  • Image Retouching: Utilize advanced retouching techniques to enhance and optimize images for use in campaigns, ensuring they meet the highest quality standards.
  • File Server Management: Take ownership of organizing and managing the file server, ensuring all assets are appropriately labeled, archived, and easily accessible for team members.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Work closely with cross-functional teams including art directors, copywriters, and account managers, to ensure alignment of creative deliverables with client objectives.
  • Stay Up-to-Date: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design best practices to continuously elevate the quality and impact of our creative output.

WIP Perks and Benefits
• Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, short-term disability (STD), voluntary long-term disability (LTD), and voluntary life/AD&D.
• Matching 401k.
• “Unlimited” paid time off (PTO) for vacation days.
• 11 paid holidays + 2-week agency closure in December.
• 2 weeks fully remote per year.
• Discretionary annual bonus.
• Each employee receives $1,500 personal training credit annually to allow for personal or professional growth in specific interest or passion areas.

About Us
We believe every brand, and person, should be a work in progress.

It’s why the founding partners opened the agency in 2016, and why WorkInProgress helps brands boldly take action, innovate, and create to prove why they exist. Then we use those actions to create the most memorable advertising.

As an independent agency, we strive to prove that an agency can care as much about a client’s business as they do. And that advertising can play a fundamental role in building and growing a company.

We’re always looking for smart, creative, and passionate people that care more about changing a company than winning awards.

Inventors more than ad people. Problem solvers more than portfolio puffery pushers. No assholes. No egos. No hiding because you can’t do the job. No selfishness. No disrespecting people or their time. Insanely talented, yet incredibly humble. In other words, one in a million. Lucky for us, we want to stay small and independent.

Our office is located in Boulder, CO, and we require employees to work from the office Tuesdays and Thursdays.
