This individual will play a critical role in driving supplier quality and development processes, ensuring that our suppliers meet and exceed our rigorous standards. As an individual contributor, you will have a significant impact on supplier qualification, certification, and quality issue resolution, influencing processes and driving continuous improvement.This is an onsite role based at our Lenexa, KS site. - Supplier Qualification & Certification: Oversee and conduct supplier qualification, certification, and assessment processes to ensure compliance with Collins Aerospace standards.
- Quality Data Analysis: Analyze quality data and develop part-specific corrective actions and resolutions for quality issues.
- Process Management: Lead processes for supplier qualification, source inspection, material release, and Correction Action Boards/DQ Clinics.
- Program Support: Proactively support the Supplier Gold and ZDP⢠programs, ensuring continuous improvement and sustainability.
- Training & Mentoring: Perform ZDP⢠training, reviews, and mentoring for assigned suppliers to enhance their quality performance.
- Process Review: Review and recommend improvements for processes and metrics to manage work transfer, process changes, and PPAP acceptance.
- Issue Management: Manage supplier quality issues, including monitoring, escalation, and resolution of non-conforming materials.
- Escape Management: Drive root cause analysis, problem solving (Red-X & 8D), and corrective actions for systemic issues related to supplier products.
- Audits & Compliance: Conduct supplier system and product audits to verify compliance with Collins Aerospace requirements.
- Quality Tools Implementation: Use quality tools (e.g., PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, SPC) to develop and implement supplier-specific quality initiatives.
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship now or in the future. RTX will not offer sponsorship for this position .
- Quality Experience: Experience in quality system, product, or technical process audits, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Root Cause Analysis: Proven background in root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
- Problem Resolution: Experience with RRCA (Root Cause & Corrective Action) , PPAP, and problem resolution processes.
