Position Title: Senior Supply Chain Analyst - Global Logistics

The Senior Supply Chain Analyst - Global Logistics is responsible for planning and executing logistics activities within Esperion product supply chains. He/she will coordinate the shipping and receiving of supplies, intermediates, and finished goods between our CMOs and 3PL organizations. Working with international logistic providers, he/she will provide guidance to importing and exporting APIs, intermediates, and finished goods. This role is accountable for the proper movement and availability of clinical and commercial products within the supply network. The individual will perform other tasks and projects in Global Customs, Tax, and Trade as assigned. The Sr Supply Chain Analyst - Global Logistics will report to the Manager, Global Logistics. This position is currently available as a remote, work from home opportunity.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities*

  • Execute material transport between suppliers, CMOs and the 3PL organizations.
  • Follow procedures for the shipping and transportation of clinical and commercial products.
  • Working with other supply chain partners within Esperion and externally, ensure shipping schedules are adhered to and resolve any issues that develop during execution.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and improve lead times for shipments while balancing budget requirements.
  • Ensure import/export processes compliance including VAT claims and duty requirements.
  • Establish quantitative transportation and logistics metrics consistent with the company's business objectives for leadership in product cost, quality and delivery.
  • Effectively communicate and present the progress of initiatives and programs to stakeholders.
  • Ensure fulfillment of agreed logistics service agreements.
  • Provide routine updates regarding the productivity and efficiency of operations.
  • Support the development of budgets for accountable departments and ensure logistics/transportation expenditures are within budget.
  • Act as the supply chain interface with current and potential logistic partners.
  • Create and track purchase orders and spend with current logistics partners. Ensuring adherence to budgeted transportation costs.

Qualifications (Education & Experience)

  • B.S. from accredited college or university in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering or Life Sciences. An MBA and CSCP, CPIM, CLTD or other logistics/transportation certifications are highly preferred. Significant experience may be substituted for a degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years pharmaceutical industry experience in Supply Chain and/or Manufacturing related activities.
  • Experience with import/export compliance and logistics providers.
  • MRP/ERP skills are in support of logistics/transportation requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic group that takes a multi-disciplined team approach to executing and achieving departmental and corporate goals.
  • Demonstrated strong working knowledge of supply chain management is considered essential for the position.
  • Must have hands on experience in managing diverse project activities within supply chains including material movement studies between partners at different geographical locations as well as the distribution operations.
  • Ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans, programs and recommendations.
  • Possess the ability to develop conflict management and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and be reliable and responsive
  • Demonstrated experience in the implementation of supply chains.
  • Some domestic and international travel may be required (10 to 15%)
