Pine Gate Renewables is seeking to hire a motivated Sr. Supply Chain Manager to oversee all facets of Solar Owner Furnished equipment. This person will provide support to the Procurement Team to ensure all internal and external deliverables are provided professionally, punctually and in accordance with Pine Gate’s standards and values. We are a growing company, and this person will need to be able to wear many hats as needed to complete critical projects and tasks.
The Sr. Supply Chain Manager will need to be a self-starter, highly organized, adaptable, and able to prioritize tasks while working with minimal oversight. This position offers an opportunity for advancement. This position reports to the VP, Contracts and Procurement and will interface with many senior leaders across the company.
What You’ll Do
- Manage a growing logistics team including goal setting for both professional and personal growth.
- Develop strategies for inventory control. This will include coordination with onsite construction teams, logistics team and accounting.
- Research and implement inventory control software to automate processes onsite and ensure accurate capture of data that can be used to verify deliveries.
- Negotiate contracts with 3PL/4PL partners.
- Work with procurement teams on production slot planning, take a holistic view of pipeline and make recommendations for moving and allocating materials to ensure success for all projects.
- Manage ongoing warehouse leases.
- Lead and manage PGR’s new S&OP Process.
- Manage warehouse operations including hiring staff for loading, offloading, and inventory control if needed.
- Manage process for RMAs and warranty claims during construction.
- Continuous improvement of all supply chain activities
- Key Role in the Procurement Team for managing inventory for all Owner Furnished Equipment.
- Interface with project management, development, and asset management and actively monitor project allocations against contractual commitments with vendors. Proactively anticipate undersupply and work with procurement to secure additional capacity if needed.
- Coordinate documentation receipt, submittal, and review during project allocations and PO issuance.
- Support cash flow analysis to maintain up to date financial models for projects when required to support project financing.
- Create, prioritize, and carry out a list of procurement and supply chain related tasks with minimal oversight.
- Undertake additional procurement and process improvement tasks from Procurement leadership as required.
Must-Haves
- 5+ years of experience in large scale, strategic procurement and supply chain management in the renewables industry.
- Experience managing 3PLs and 4PLs.
- Strong ability to build and maintain good relationships and work within a team environment in a friendly, professional, and collaborative manner.
- Strong ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage competing deadlines.
- A desire to work in a project-oriented environment where workflow and tight deadlines are often dictated by project opportunities and risks.
- Self-starter and tenacious.
- Proven ability to thrive with minimal oversight while timely reporting on progress and completing tasks without prompting.
- Exceptional personal organizational skills.
- Strong sense of ownership and personal responsibility for work.
- Solid written and oral communication skills with the proven ability to distill complex, multi-factor problems into clear, actionable deliverables.
- Work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to be flexible and shift focus as needed.
- Exceptional proficiency in Microsoft Office Products, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Outlook.
Education and Certifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or Finance. 7+ years experience would be considered in lieu of a degree.
Working Environment and Physical Demand
- Remote position with travel up to 20%.
