Senior SysOps Engineer

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Senior SysOps Engineer who is proficient in Cloud computing, system design and management, and DevOps methodologies.

Context:

• Position based in France
• 100% remote work

Prerequisites:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a SysOps
• Proficient in AWS
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Access to a co-working space or comfortable with full-time remote work
• Ability to adjust to local working hours

Your missions:

• Build, deploy, manage, and evolve Cloud computing infrastructure
• Define standards and best practices in your field
• Work closely with various teams to ensure best practices are applied
• Ensure the reliability, flexibility, scalability, and security of maintained platforms
• Contribute to the prevention and investigation of production issues

Required skills:

• Expertise in Amazon Web Services (EC2, RDS, S3, etc.)
• Proficient in Docker
• Programming experience, ideally in Python
• Skilled in IaaC, preference for CloudFormation
• Proficient in CI/CD (Git, Gitlab, Jenkins)
• Expert in Linux, preference for Amazon Linux or similar
• Familiar with database systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, MariaDB
• Proficient in log management with Elasticsearch and fluentbit/fluentd/logstash
• Solid understanding of distributed systems, APIs, and cloud computing models
• Good knowledge of security standards and best practices, modern methods of authentication and authorization

Soft skills:

• Independent and motivated, with a strong work ethic and a passion for problem-solving
• Proficiency in English is essential
• Familiarity with Jira and Confluence is a plus
• Experience working within an international team is preferable
