Senior System Admin

Two Six Technologies is seeking a System Administrator that will apply expertise in the installation, configuration, operations, and maintenance of primarily Linux-based architectures to support a software development contract with 100+ developers. 

The candidate will focus on improving the stability and performance of a vCenter VxRail environment, maintaining and improving the security posture of the domain, continuous monitoring of system health, and troubleshooting issues that arise.  

To be successful you must be proficient in building, documenting, and providing tier-3 engineering support. The position requires technical knowledge of systems, networks, and application security as well as a solid understanding of enterprise-level security frameworks, policies, processes, and standards. 

Duties include maintaining operating systems, application support, integration, design, and assistance with additional duties as needed to support the team.

Responsibilities Include:

• Provide daily operational support for Linux operating systems (RedHat, CentOS, and Ubuntu) and applications.

• Maintain the integrity and security of systems by monitoring security feeds and dashboards in support of Continuous Monitoring activities.

• Monitor application and operating system performance; analyze, document and remediate incidents.

• Help develop and maintain standards and procedures for applications across a complex computing infrastructure.

• Leverage scripting and system automation tools.

• Interact with developers and evaluate vendor products to assist their needs.

• Review incidents to understand the root causes and ensure the implementation of proper fixes.

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Redhat and/or Centos as well as VMWare ESXi, vCenter server, host clustering with HA, DRS, and replication.

• Demonstrated experience with Ansible and/or Puppet (ideally Ansible playbooks for virtual and physical instance provisioning, configuration management and patching, and software development)

• Minimum of 5 years experience with standard development tools including: Git, Gitlab, and/or Github, Atlassian Jira and Confluence

• Due to security requirement, you must be US Citizen with willingness and the ability to obtain and maintain required clearance up to TS/SCI and a Polygraph too

Nice if you Have:

• Linux System Administrator Certification

• Certifications relating to IT Security (CISSP, GIAC, Security+) 

• Knowledge of network engineering fundamentals and network design

• Experience with building and maintaining environments running in Amazon Web Services (AWS).

• Active Top Secret security Clearance or higher to TS/SCI and poly too
