Job Description
Torch Technologies is seeking a talented Senior Systems Administrator to join a well-established and growing team in the Sensors Test, Analysis, Requirements and Simulations (STARS) Lab. The candidate will perform systems administration duties for the lab network and infrastructure, including the hardware-in-the-loop (HWIL) systems for multiple types of missile defense radars.
The selected candidate will perform network administration duties to support daily operations, cyber requirements, network integration, installation of cables/equipment, and management and maintenance of STARS infrastructure. System administration environments include RHEL and Windows OS and responsibilities cover storage systems, software license maintenance, cyber requirements, workstation setup, troubleshooting issues, account management, configuration management, and support of data management. The selected candidate will support infrastructure system environments services such as the domain controllers, group policy, active directory and account management for Linux and Windows systems.
The selected candidate will also provide support to all aspects of the hardware, software, user profiles, and network configurations to maintain and sustain complex HWIL systems. The candidate will perform software and hardware updates as needed and work directly with technical team leads to provide the necessary testing configurations and implement system performance improvements. They will also manage security aspects of the HWILs, coordinate with ISSOs, and support the acquisition and renewal of ATOs for these systems.

Job Requirements
Required skills/experience:
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Management of Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 10+ years of experience with systems administration in a department of defense (DoD) environment
- Some experience with systems administration for both Windows and Linux OS, with extensive systems administration experience for at least one of these OS
- Experience working with ISSO/ISSM to maintain security aspects of HWILs in a classified computing environment and supporting the acquisition and renewal of ATOs
- Ability to work effectively in team environments and independently
- Good communication skills (verbal and written)
Candidates with the following skills/experience are preferred:
- Experience performing systems administration duties for real-time HWIL systems; experience with radar HWIL systems including AN/TPY-2, SBX, LRDR UEWR, and/or CDU is of particular interest
- Experience with Nexsan storage system management and associated archival HW and SW
- Experience implementing cyber requirements
- Experience with administration of Citrix and VMware virtual Windows environments
- Experience with administration of Atlassian tools (JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket)
Certification Requirements:
- DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 Computing Environment (CE) Certification in an approved either Windows or Linux discipline required and must be maintained
- CompTIA Security+ Certification required and must be maintained
