Senior System Administrator
Job Description
The Senior System Administrator is responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, monitoring and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure systems and equipment. The Systems Administrator L2 would serve as an escalation point for L1 Admins and other team members. The role will own incident resolution, maintenance and project initiatives as designated by management. The role will guide and may lead project teams as assigned.
Qualification Requirements
This is a 7x24x365 support organization and participation in an on-call rotation as well as performing some after-hours work is required.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical field with a minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience OR 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of degree.
- Strong interpersonal skills including leadership, teamwork, written and verbal communications and positive attitude
- Communicate technical concepts into language customers easily understand
- Contribute to a safe work environment
- Ability to perform 'technical lead' role on project teams, problem remediation efforts and consult with vendors / suppliers to overcome technical issues
- Travel up to 15%
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Customer Service -3-years of experience providing exemplary face to face customer service

- Organization and Prioritization - able to organize work of team and discern priorities

- Proficient use of Microsoft Office products, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft server installation, maintenance and troubleshooting
- 5 years of experience supporting Microsoft O365, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams and OneDrive
- 5 years of experience supporting MS Azure / Active Directory including creation & maintenance of user & computer accounts, security groups, OUs, GPOs, etc.
- 5-years of experience supporting Microsoft SCCM, Intune or other similar configuration management systems
- 5 years of experience installing, configuring, operating and troubleshooting network equipment such as Routers, Firewalls Switches, WAPs, etc.
- 5-years of experience supporting network protocols (DNS, DHCP, SMTP, TCP/IP, UDP)
- 5-years of experience supporting with VMWare ESXi or Hyper-V virtual environments
- 5-years of experience supporting network storage environment technologies (SAN/NAS/iSCSI/NFS)
- 5-years of experience with cloud data storage environments (OneDrive/SharePoint/AWS/Azure)
Essential Functions - Own incident resolution support when escalated for IT Infrastructure. Own installation, maintenance and support of all aspects of the PS IT Infrastructure as designated. Lead root cause analysis for incident and outages in order to improve reliability. Identifies opportunities and continuously drives the implementation of improvements to the IT environment. Complies with IT policies, standards and requirements to ensure the resiliency and security of the PS IT environment.
Physical Demands
Must be able to sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to climb and descend stairs
Must be able to walk between buildings in order to service internal customers
Work Environment
This position is "hybrid" position with 1 day a week on premises as part of a rotation.
