Senior System Administrator (WPB)
Job Description
SCOPE:
Senior Systems Administrator provides technical support related to multiple computer systems, networks, telephony and security solutions at the local site.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide administrator support on Microsoft Windows based platforms
- Establishes, maintains, and manages Windows user accounts
- Conduct a thorough analysis of each system to identify system shortcomings, anomalies, and security
- Provide solutions to mitigate any discrepancies found in order to enhance system performance and stability
- Ensure that all systems are properly maintained and operational.
- Provides guidance to team members in the day-to-day support of the digital products, services and Infrastructure
- Manages the day-to-day operations of the corporate environments host computers by monitoring system performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair
- Help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments
- Assist with integration of servers (on premise and cloud), including database, e-mail, and backup servers and their associated software into enterprise systems
- Maintain backup infrastructure, review alerts, and troubleshoot failed backups
- Ensure system connectivity, mapping, processes, and service records
- Demonstrate high responsiveness for technology issues
- Participates in leading, or leads the maintenance of systems
- Ensure IT documentation is kept up to date any IT administration tasks and compliance to IT Policies and Procedures
- Maintain accurate and current documentation of LAN technology installation settings, specifications, and floor plans
Qualifications
- In depth knowledge of Azure as well as the 365 suites of products
- Strong Knowledge in any of the following: MS Windows, Active directory, and Group Policies
- Strong knowledge of physical and virtual infrastructure
- Strong knowledge of networking and enterprise data storage
- Strong knowledge administering VMWare ESXi
- Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments
- Advanced knowledge of the TCP/IP protocol suite and associated operating system tools
- Understand and embrace the importance of communications and documentation
- Demonstrated initiative, customer orientation and teamwork competencies
- Ability to communicate technical issues with non-technical people
Other Requirement:
Valid Florida driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for insurability under company insurance and ability to travel to outlying locations
