Location: New Zealand (Remote working- Work from home)

Copperleaf is growth company expanding its client SaaS offering. The Cloud Operations team is looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer to help us operate the service as well as ensuring its reliability and manageability as it grows.
As a Senior CloudOps Engineer, you will be involved in the following:
- Executing and leading projects with full delivery, advancing our service offering and infrastructure.
- Mentoring junior team members.
- Operational tasks, including incident and problem management, client support, and ensuring the timely deployment and successful execution of the Copperleaf product suite. This involves troubleshooting issues, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and maintaining high standards of service delivery.
- Collaboratively contributing to the development of infrastructure health monitoring and reporting.
- Implementing best practice procedures for deployment and automation.
- Documenting and identifying failure modes related to hosted solutions.
- Innovating new strategies to manage site reliability.
We are seeking applicants with extensive knowledge of cloud technologies and solutions:
- At least 5 years of experience working in development, engineering, QA, and/or IT operations team(s) with a focus on programming and scripting of solutions to manage systems automation and cloud infrastructure reliability.
- Proven experience building, operating and supporting high availability, secure, complex customer-facing systems at scale in a 24x7 environment.
- Proficiency in higher-level languages (e.g., Python, Java, NodeJS).
- AWS, Azure, Linux, Windows, and networking fundamentals.
- Significant experience in configuration and maintenance of applications such as web servers, load balancers, Oracle databases, and cloud environments.

- Service Driven: You understand the importance of service tickets and the importance they hold in tracking issues and solutions. You maintain meticulous notes, ensuring all relevant information is captured accurately for future reference.
