Job DescriptionIn this role, you will be responsible for defining and validating reliability requirements for electrical/mechanical systems. This includes analyzing field usage and environmental conditions, designing accelerated test methods, identifying failures, and driving failure analysis to understand root cause at the system, module, and component level.
As part of our team, your core responsibilities will be:
- Responsible for establishing all standardized system reliability requirements.
- DVTr (Design Validation Testing, reliability)
- HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing)
- ORT (Ongoing Reliability Testing)
- Review equipment failure data, identify true root causes to systemic issues by leveraging all available data sources and referring to cross-product and cross-generation information.
- Propose mitigation strategies by collaborating with the cross-functional team, and plan and execute tests to validate these strategies.
- Establish correlation of field performance to reliability testing (ORT, RDT) to provide recommendations to enhance reliability testing and improve reliability prediction.
- Responsible for System-level MTBF/FIT calculations, and establishing the methodology, including use of a standardized tool, establishing confidence levels, and accommodation for derating and redundancy
Qualifications
Baseline skills/experiences/attributes:
- B.S or M.S in Electrical Engineering or similar.
- Experience in RMA engineering or analysis of engineering processes
- 10+ years of System Reliability experience
- Strong interface skills need for working with cross-functional teams (HW Development Engineering, Software Engineering, Operations, External suppliers).
- Takes ownership of tasks and problems and provides solutions
- Self-starter with a relentless work ethic who can work independently, but who also functions well in a collaborative team environment
- Solid understanding of design for reliability principles, accelerated life testing and reliability demonstration test methods.

The estimated base salary range for this role based in the United States of America is: $90,000 - $130,000. Compensation decisions are dependent on several factors including, but not limited to, level of the position, an individual’s skills, knowledge and abilities, location where the role is to be performed, internal equity, and alignment with market data. Additionally, all full-time employees are eligible for our discretionary bonus program and equity as part of the compensation package.
