About this role:
We are seeking an experienced Senior System Test Engineer II to revolutionize healthcare through rigorous testing of our Class II medical devices with an emphasis on wireless products. In this role, you'll collaborate closely with a team of engineers to enhance and test our product lines, both new and existing. Your mission is to strategize, execute, and improve test methodologies, ensuring our products exceed requirements. You will play a pivotal role in mentoring and developing the talent within our testing team, ultimately contributing to the overall success and quality of our products. We are particularly interested in someone with the drive and interest to grow in a dynamic environment.
This role will be expected to work 2-3 days a week at our San Francisco office.
Responsibilities include:
- Influence the product design at a system-level with a focus on system and wireless interfaces and testability of product requirements.
- Define test strategy to creatively and efficiently stress the system based on the intended device application and hardware or mobile combinations.
- Automate and improve verification test methods for new and existing product lines.
- Document and execute verification test plans and reports to support new and/or improved design features and requirements.
- Characterize battery life, analyze wireless performance data and troubleshoot failures.
- Mentor and develop the skills of team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth within the testing team.
Requirements:
- Experience with software test, hardware test, or test automation.
- Experience with Python development and software release processes.
- Experience in the design, implementation, and use of automation hardware platforms and software frameworks, with a focus on mobile and wireless technologies.
- Familiar with electronic test equipment (power supplies, DMMs, oscilloscopes, etc.) to test and troubleshoot electrical and firmware issues.
- Solid documentation and technical writing skills, including the ability to author technical protocols and reports.
- Demonstrated familiarity with the medical device industry or other regulated environments (e.g., FAA, SEC, DoD, Title 21 CFR part 11) is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Additional degrees and certifications are preferred, though equivalent years of work experience will be considered.

Actual compensation may vary depending on job-related factors including knowledge, skills, experience, and work location.
Estimated Pay Range
$176,600—$195,000 USD
