Position Overview: 

The Senior System Admin role will be key to supporting technology-driven operations for Government Solutions. This position involves collaborating with a talented team of Engineers and Operations staff to support the entire software lifecycle—from initial concept and design through development, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. The Senior System Admin will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations, implementing best practices, and driving innovation across the Government Solutions IT infrastructure.

Essential Responsibilities: 

As a Sr System Admin, you will be responsible for the management of on-premise, virtual and cloud servers and applications in a pre-production and production environment with minimal supervision. You will administer these environments to ensure efficient infrastructure operations, application management, automation, systems integration, and support services. You will create and update documentation for all systems for current and future IT team(s). You will be responsible for proactive capacity planning, performance tuning, monitoring and problem resolution for both hardware and software issues. You will work closely with Infrastructure, Network, Database, and Development teams.  You will proactively engage with hardware and software vendors to swiftly resolve problems and maintain seamless operation of servers, applications, and automation. Must be able to bridge the divide between business units and technical teams. You will mentor and guide junior-level administrators in providing efficient and effective infrastructure support.

Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Systems Management, or equivalent experience.
• 7 years of experience with Windows and Linux Server.
• Worked in a physical, virtual, and cloud infrastructures such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiar with programing languages such as BASH, Powershell, Python.
• Experience in IIS, Apache, Apache Tomcat, NGINX.
• Skills in log analysis, Windows Event logs, Linux System logs and Kibana logs.
• Exposure to containers and container orchestration, Docker and Kubernetes.
• Used automation tools such as Jenkins, Ansible, or Terraform.
• Familiar with GIT, Github, Bitbucket or other code repository technology.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
• Advanced troubleshooting and support of hardware and software issues.
• Experience supporting an environment with strict security standards.
• 1 year experience in direct supervision or 3 years of experience as a technical leader
• Successful completion of the Nlets fingerprinting background assessment
