Senior Systems Analyst #24281

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Systems Engineer/Integrator to join our team in providing comprehensive support for the Department of the Air Force (DAF), which includes the United States Air Force (AF) and United States Space Force (SF). This role is critical in supporting the DAF’s information technology audit remediation, sustainment, and financial statements reporting and analysis.

Data Strategy and Business Case
• Support collection and tracking of Financial Management (FM) wide initiatives for prioritization and implementation.
Data Governance
• Create/update Data Governance Charter for the Data Working Group.
• Develop plans to implement data standards and improve FM Data Maturity.
• Ensure compliance with authoritative data sources and FM standards.
• Assist in providing department-wide policy framework and support data acquisitions.
• Implement standards for security markings, handling restrictions, and records management.
Data Control Environment
• Organize and host Data Management Team meetings and summits.
• Provide senior-level draft presentations on Data Management work.
• Take detailed meeting notes and perform follow-up activities with stakeholders.
• Prepare and provide weekly/monthly status updates on Data Management tasks.
• Represent the Chief Data Office (CDO) in data acquisition and development meetings.
• Create and manage Integrated Master Schedules for CDO efforts.
• Manage and implement the Organizational Change Management Plan.
Data Management Strategy and Business Case
• Provide data science expertise to deliver enterprise strategies and implementation plans.
• Standardize, integrate, and operationalize requirements in support of the SAF/FM CIO (Secretary of the Air Force/Financial Management Chief Information Officer).
Data Platform Operations
• Support CDO activities related to implementing an FM Enterprise Platform.
• Oversee data ingestion pipelines and monitor data quality.
• Document and monitor data exchange specifications for Finance Air and Space Team Resources (FASTR) acquired systems.
• Ensure data is presented in a standardized manner throughout SAF/FM.
• Support data analytics efforts and provide functional advice on Finance Air and Space Team Resources (FASTR) products.
• Establish and monitor Data Guardrail standards and policies.
• Ensure FM enterprise platforms manage data effectively.
• Support FASTR training sessions and create training documentation for users.

Mandatory:

• 9 years of experience
• Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., Python, R), data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel), and data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience working with the Department of the Air Force or other defense agencies.
• Strong technical expertise in data management and governance.
• Experience in developing and implementing data strategies and standards.
• Experience leading teams/projects
