SENIOR SYSTEMS ARCHITECT

Location: Flexible and in any state where the firm has an office.

POSITION SUMMARY

Looking for a Senior Systems Architect to join our team providing excellent customer service and work experience. You will be the backbone of our desktop experience, packaging and wrapping all applications, orchestrating the testing, and deploying to desktops you created. You will also oversee remote desktop connections and should be familiar with both Citrix and VMware. You will work with other Business Owners to help integrate their systems. Your problem-solving skills should set you apart. You will make a real difference and have a voice.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:• Lead implementations, upgrades, and support firm desktops. This includes security vulnerability management for both the desktop and the applications the desktop hosts.• Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, deployment practices, and new capabilities supporting provisioning, patching, and overall management of Window devices.• Highly skilled troubleshooting OS level stability and performance issues on desktop/laptop equipment. Must be process driven and requires diligent use of ticketing and documentation systems and processes in performing tasks.• Knowledge in preparing applications and standard software suites for automated deployment using Microsoft SCCM, Intune or GPO.• Strong scripting skills using VBScript and/or PowerShell.• Ability to implement Group Policy settings, Intune Compliance settings, conditional access and understand their impact on system configuration.• Experience using diagnostic tools like Sysinternals and other enterprise toolsets like Nexthink to monitor end-user experience and application performance.• Create test plans and testing of applications.• Proactively research new technologies and advise on their use.• Assist with the development of training curriculum and documentation for new applications.• Work with other IT teams to troubleshoot and build application infrastructure.• Integrate applications with third party tools when needed and lead the rollout of third-party tools.• Resolve support issues.• Prepare technical documentation for applications assigned.• Technical learning and development of other team members as needed.• Participate in our Change Management Process• Review publications and attend seminars, conferences as assigned and relating to technologies used in by Hinshaw & Culbertson LLP.• Performs other duties as assigned.

SKILLS NEEDED TO BE SUCCESSFUL:• Backend knowledge (administration and troubleshooting) with MDM, EM+S, Autopilot Group Policy, Active Directory, Azure, M365, Significant knowledge of Windows Operating Systems• 5 years of SCCM administration or relevant experience in systems development, network operations and software support.• Must have strong problem-solving skills, as well as expertise in scripting languages such as Microsoft PowerShell.• Knowledge of legal industry software applications a plus.• Requires excellent written and oral communication skills.• Must have the ability to work independently.• Strong attention to detail is essential as well as a demonstrated ability to work under pressure and be able to multitask.• Must have proven leadership ability.• Must possess specific technical skills required for the project that exceed the abilities of the rest of the development team.
