IdenTrust's Business Operations Department:
IdenTrust, part of HID Global, is a public key certificate authority that provides digital certificates to financial institutions, healthcare providers, government agencies and enterprises. The software development team is responsible for developing new applications, enhancing existing applications, solving problems, and resolving defects.
As our System Engineer , you'll support HID's success by:
- Engaging in the planning, design, development, and improvement of processes in a hosting provider environment
- Serving as a leader of the Systems team in driving projects and the technology.
- Assisting the Systems Operations team adopt and move toward a DevOps model
- Interacting with clients, peers, and management to help define business requirements and operational goals and resolve systems issues
- Designing procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
- Developing supporting documentation and providing recommendations to other production service groups and engineering personnel
- Providing input for task and resource management to determine the needs of the team
What we will love about your background:
- A solid understanding of a *ix operating systems, inter-process communication, file system concepts
- Proficiency with Git and GitHub workflows
- Experience with container management tools (Kubernetes, Rancher) is preferred
- Knowledge and understanding of Infrastructure as code or experience working with Terraform
- Strong working knowledge of Virtual management tools and technologies, specifically Cisco UCS & VMWare.
- Experienced System Administration in a highly available server infrastructure
- Working knowledge and understanding of:
- cloud infrastructure platforms
- Operating System security and auditing
- (TCP/IP)
- DNS, DHCP, LDAP
- tape backup/recovery and disaster planning processes
- Apache web server deployments
- Strong Perl and UNIX shell scripting expertise & related utilities
- Recent experience in deployment of applications using Jboss, Tomcat
Your Experience and Education include:
- 5 years of experience working in the technology field or equivalent education
- Must have experience working in a Linux/Unix environment.
- Nice to Have :
- DevOps and DevSecOps experience
- Prior experience with building/evolving systems into DevOps model is a plus
- Containerized orchestration deployment, cluster organization (Tanzu, Rancher, Portainer)
- PKI is a preference, but not a 100% necessary skill
- Nice to Have :
