Our main center of gravity is in the Pittsburgh area, and we have teams located in RI and CO.

This position can be hybrid or in-person in our Pittsburgh, PA office.

We're looking for a Senior Systems Engineer to lead system and subsystem architecture definition for unmanned platforms. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and overseeing complex robotics systems to support full-stack autonomy. You will work with a strong team of scientists and engineers to help drive critical architecture decisions within our machine learning and computer vision pipeline.

What You’ll Do

• Analyzes, designs, develops, implements, tests, or evaluates software, components, or systems related to engineering or functional requirements for associated support systems
• Develop detailed system architecture, design specifications, and integration plans/procedures based on system/subsystem requirements
• Collaborate with domain and discipline subject matter experts (SMEs) to tailor MBSE to project scope and cost and schedule constraints
• Translate processes from traditional document-based system engineering efforts to delivery of model-based work products to customers
• Establish, manage, and validate system requirements

What We’re Looking For

• A bachelor's or master's degree in Robotics, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 8 years of experience with 5+ years of relevant experience in the field of robotics preferred
• Proficient in modeling languages like UML, SysML, or UAF methods, tools, and frameworks to develop rigorous specifications and models of commercial and/or DoD systems/components
• Proficient in modeling tools like Magic Draw, Cameo System Model or Enterprise Architect
• Proficient in writing production quality object-oriented code in C++ using a git-based workflow in a Linux environment
• Proficiency in robotics software development, control systems, and sensor integration
• Excellent mathematical reasoning and problem-solving skills
• Excellent project management and leadership abilities
• Knowledge of safety standards and compliance in robotics, especially in collaborative and industrial applications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams
