Raytheon Applied Signal Technology (RAST), a wholly-owned subsidiary of Raytheon Intelligence & Space (RIS), currently has an opening for a System Administrator to work in our Salt Lake City, UT office. The selected team member will be responsible for performing a full range of information technology functions. While the majority of performance will be in classified areas, some unclassified work will also be required. This position ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software, and related procedures adhere to organizational- and security-based policies. Key duties include, but are not limited to:
Provide technical support to end-users who need assistance utilizing client level hardware and software
Plan, implement, and operate network services and systems, to include hardware and virtual environments
Setup and maintain systems including installation, configuration, and updating of hardware and software
Implement and troubleshoot Technical Security Controls per company policy and/or Customer requirements
This role will require travel to other AST sites. Travel is generally well-planned.
Security Clearance: Candidate must possess an Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility and be willing and able to obtain additional clearances and program access. Successful candidate must maintain all clearances and program access throughout employment.
Responsibilities:
Configure and Troubleshoot Technical Security Controls as identified by Information Assurance
Create and Modify User Accounts and Associated Access Control Lists
Perform Data Backups of networked systems
Install, configure, and maintain workstation and server hardware and software
Creating, editing, and reviewing technical documentation
Required Skills:
Active Top Secret/SCI security clearance with Full-Scope Polygraph
Eight years of experience in one or more of the following:
System Administration of Linux systems including, but not limited to:
Configuration and troubleshooting of SELinux
Creating, modifying and deleting user accounts and groups
Troubleshooting networking issues and editing the routing table
Integrating Linux systems into an Active Directory environment
System Administration of Windows systems including, but not limited to:
Windows Server administration (Windows Server 2012 or newer) to include infrastructure services such as Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, etc.
Network administration of Cisco routers and switches, including Layer 1 installation and troubleshooting
Installation, configuration and administration of network storage using NetApp products and virtualized environments with hypervisors such as VMWare, KVM
Experience working in and supporting classified areas, to include:
Understanding Information Assurance requirements
Performing security audits on networked and standalone systems
Must be able to lift 35 pounds in support of hardware installations
Must be willing and able to learn new technologies as this position will be responsible for a full range of information systems
CompTIA Security+, or equivalent DoD 8570 certification for IAT Level II, within 6 months of hire
Desired Skills:
Demonstrated experience with time management in order to meet critical deadlines
Experience planning and managing projects of various size and scope
Eight years of experience in one or more of the following:
VMWare
Linux
Active IT Base Certifications
Centrify, Puppet, Lumension, Rapid 7
Tenable Security Center, Nessus
Independent, self-motivated, and willing/able to learn through on-the-job training and documentation
Able to work within a team and foster teamwork and trust from both external and internal customers
Excellent written, verbal communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills
Required Education (including Major):
Typically, Bachelor's degree and 8 years of related experience
