Senior Systems Engineer
Job Description
Applied Research Solutions is seeking a full-time Systems Engineer located at WPAFB, OH. The System Engineer's primary function will be to apply a broad theoretical and practical knowledge of system engineering expertise while supporting SLAKE.
Responsibilities include:
- Provide engineering and acquisition support; vocalize and apply technical expertise on the systems engineering policies and processes
- Manages complex system interfaces, identify, and document interfaces, and assure the effective integration of multiple subsystems
- Constructs models and simulations of systems to demonstrate the ability to meet user requirements
- Conducts engineering performance, cost-effectiveness, reliability, technical and schedule risk assessment, and scheduling trade-off studies and document this information in a technical report as directed by the task order
- Conduct reviews on program portfolio to evaluate and/or recommend alternative plans, improve systems engineering programs/processes, manage/sustain program technical baseline, and design/perform system level tests to assure that subsystems and system performance is achieved in accordance with approved specifications
- Perform program reviews to evaluate alternative proposed plans, systems engineering programs, design, and test results to assure that subsystem and system performance is achieved in accordance with program specifications
- Prepare technical documents which define, specify, and recommend system/subsystem characteristics. Prepare management reports and conduct technical presentations for planning, implementation, and corrective action using application of engineering economy principles
- Perform validation of systems, including development of criteria and procedures. Analyze and/or evaluate results of major engineering systems
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
- Must be a US citizen
- Minimum 10 to 15 Years' related experience required
- Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field required
- Must possess TS clearance with SCI eligibility
- Familiarity with the Air Force Intranet (AFNet)
- Demonstrated experience in multiple phenomenology sensor data collection, processing, exploitation algorithms, test and evaluation, systems integration, application development, and field demonstration
- Demonstrated Experience in modern SW development and computing architectures
- Demonstrated experience in sensor data processing & visualization, modeling & simulation, virtualization/containerization
