We are seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to play a key role in providing oversight and hands-on activities related to building-level IT networks, Network Access Control, Segmentation, and development of the overall standards across the portfolio.

With the ongoing and rapid advancement in the Prop-tech segment, you will have the opportunity to influence the security and network architecture when rolling out these emerging real estate capabilities across the portfolio.

Reporting to the Manager, Networks & Security, you will require the ability to build relationships and create influence by winning trust of the regional stakeholders and a matrixed set of organizational leadership. This role requires your attention to detail, excellent organization skills and a self-motivated, as a team player. Your ability to collaborate and communicate with cross-functional teams will be essential in ensuring positive outcomes. You will be responsible for an optimal end-user experience and ensure that the environment remains optimal and secure. Additionally, you will monitor, review, and action tickets internally and with different providers.

Role & Responsibilities:

  • Play a key role in planning, delivery, and operationalization of network upgrades including switching, wireless and firewall ecosystem
  • Design the network topology that is resilient, need based and delivers capable network segmentation
  • Lead efforts to deploy Aruba NAC (Network Access Control) - ClearPass platform
  • Partner with regional OT teams to support them in devising a sound network architecture to aid the deployment of building level operational technologies (HVAC, Elevator Systems, Lighting Controls, parking systems, etc.) in a consistent and secure manner
  • Work with regional IT teams, property managers, and third-party vendors to collect network and OT equipment documentation to be able to compile a complete picture of existing infrastructure
  • Review collected network documentation and work with team to review current network and security posture
  • Lead the efforts to provide support with new network and security deployment on-site or remote
  • Create and maintain network documentation (this includes IP scheme, diagrams, and inventory)
  • Monitor, review and action tickets internally and with different providers
  • Ensure the effectiveness and timely delivery of updates regarding status of activities with the team, peers, management, internal and external customers

Your Qualifications:

  • Bachelor' Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in information technology management
  • 5-10 years of direct networking related experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of network architecture and client/server technology
  • CCNA, ACSA, NSE4, Network+, Security+
  • Experience in planning, implementation, configuration, and support of networks and firewall systems
  • Experience in the field of network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalling) with manufacturers such as Aruba, Cisco, Fortinet, Meraki etc.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (APTA, NIST, CIS) and best practices for networks design, configuration and hardening
  • Proficiency in TCP/IP, DHCP, IPsec VPN, DNS, OSPF, EIGRP, Spanning Tree, MPLS, MPLS-TP and other networking technologies
  • Experience in planning and deployment of Network Monitoring and Configuration Management Systems (Nagios, Zabbix, etc.)
  • In-depth experience in network troubleshooting, resolution and analyzing and solving network related issues
  • Experience with dynamic routing protocols (BGP), SD-WAN, VoIP/Cloud Voice Solutions, SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical people
  • Ability to influence and win the confidence of individuals at all levels, both inside and outside the organization
  • Ability to prioritize, communicate and organize multiple complex projects, frequently under deadline pressure
  • Must have the ability to effectively delegate and source work through direct reports and strategic vendors
  • Must be a self-starter with the ability to think "big picture"
  • Entrepreneurial attitude and ability prioritize, and deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing deadlines.
  • ITIL Certification is desired

Compensation & Benefits:

Salary Type: Exempt

Pay Frequency: Bi-weekly

Annual Base Salary Range: $140,000 - $160,000

Medical & Pharmacy Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Dental Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Vision Coverage: Yes, under Brookfield Medical Plan

Retirement: 401(k)
